We dropped in to Geyser Peak's tasting room during our recent Sonoma County trip. Very friendly service, and excellent wines. The wine-tasting fee was within the usual range for tasting rooms in the area. BUT: we had a copy of Wine Country magazine (free at many area hotels), and took advantage of a 2-for-1 tasting offer in the discounts/special offers section of the magazine. Wonderful offer, and much appreciated by us. Our server was very informative and enthusiastic about the wines, and very friendly. Altogether, a very pleasant stop on our trip.

Lovely location and not far from town although you wouldn't know it. You can even cycle to the winery from Healdsburg
Great staff who are extremely knowledgable and passionate about their wines
Superb decking area to sit outside and have a charcuterie board
You never feel rushed
Very pretty winery and houses

The people here at the new location are wonderful. Knowledgable about wine but more importantly they actually listen to what you like and modify your tasting to match.

This was our last stop and we shared the tasting because we were traveling by two wheels. As with most tasting rooms they wave the tasting fee if you purchase! We purchased 5 bottles and a 2008 Shiraz Port! Oh my! It was very good! My husband actually wanted it and he has never tasted a port he has liked! Any, the XYZ Reserve Zinfandel! Yummy, yummy, yummy! The staff was very nice as there were many people tasting and picking up wine club packages! They have a nice deck to enjoy a glass and the surrounding vines if you have the time!

Several friends and I stopped into Geyser Peak on February 23rd. We had the pleasure of Linda Sanders-Kemp providing us with a tasting. Linda has been with Geyser Peak Winery for a long time and was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. All of us purchased wine and look forward to our next visit. Thank you for making the experience so delightful, Linda!

We've visited Geyser Peak several times and we always find it to be an enjoyable tasting experience. The winery is in a nice building, the staff has always been friendly and there is a large selection of wines, many of which aren't found in stores. The wines are good. They will be moving to a new location close to Healdsburg within a couple of months so we are glad we made this one last visit to the current site.

Many of the Geyser Peak wines are available in stores, but the winery has some that aren't, and they are very good quality. Tasting room is not crowded and service is friendly.

First, I would give the give Geyser Peak Winery a 4.5, if it was available. We stopped at Geyser Peak on a whim after visiting the Silver Oak Winery just up the road. The visit and tasting were very enjoyable. Our server, Nancy, was very energetic and informative as she served us several of the 30+ wines Geyser Peak bottles. The wines ranged from ok (the California Pinot Noir) to very good (the smokey 2008 Petit Verdot) to excellent (the 2007 Reserve Alexandre). Nancy allowed us to taste some of the wines twice to see if there were any we would like to purchase. In the end, we did buy a bottle of Petit Verdot to enjoy later in our trip and we were able to apply the cost of our tastings to the price of the wine. Definitey visit the Geyser Peak if you're in the area.

We visited the winery this past week with another couple and were disappointed for two reasons. First, the wine tasting passes we obtained from our inn were not honored and we were still charged full price. Second, when my friend asked if the charges for tasting would be waived if we purchased wine, the answer was no. We would still be charged for the tastings. We had visited several wineries earlier in the day and no charge was made for tasting when we purchased wine. The setting of the winery is very nice but we will not return unless the aforementioned policy is changed.

Nancy was our great tasting host and was very knowledgeable and fun. She poured wines to our tastes that were not necessarily on the tasting menu. Needless to say we spent a lot of time there and bought lots of wine. Great experience overall
