Stopped by on a recent visit to Dry Creek Valley. We enjoy the area since its lower key than nearby wine regions. Clever concept with tasting rooms from three wineries sharing a plot of land. You can walk between the buildings. Peterson wines were tasty as always, especially their zin. It was a Friday afternoon and not very busy, so... More

This was probably our eighth visit to Peterson and, as always, we enjoyed it greatly. Family owned and operated, they have a nice variety of wines, including zinfandel, sangiovese, petiti sirah and Rhone varietals; the zins are particularly good but everything we tasted was very good as well. Low key, friendly and definitely no "snootiness" that you sometimes encounter in... More

This was one of the few Dry Creek wineries open to the public during a huge Passport Tasting event in late April. We had a great time tasting wine and conversing with Mike. They were quite busy, but still had plenty of time to provide two (complimentary) tastings with additional varieties. Great recommendations from Mike on other top notch locations... More

Good wines...the dessert port wine is crazy good. Nice owners...father and daughter duo. And they had a mini movie theater setup and were playing Groundhog Day all day long...that's just absolutely awesome! We even got to meet and take a photo with cardboard Bill Murray.

We've been coming to Peterson for years, and are wine club members. We have them ship our wines, and just purchased many cases at their annual Open House sale. We come out and taste here every year when we visit northern Sonoma. The winery and tasting room are part of a complex of a number of other small wineries on... More

We've been visiting Peterson Winery for years, and it always feels like coming home. The winemaking is taken seriously with an old-fashioned European approach. Their AgRaria Wine is a favorite, nice to know that the taste comes from great grapes and skill, not chemical mixology. But everything else is tongue-in-cheek and puns abound, be prepared for some interesting artwork and... More

We really enjoyed our visit to this little, family-owned winery in Dry Creek Valley (a short ride from downtown Healdsburg). Eric was an excellent host. He has a good sense of humor, is outgoing, and really knew the details of each wine poured. All of the reds were seriously tasty and enjoyable. We learned that the winery doesn't do any... More

Just off the beaten path in Dry Creek is the unpretentious and unassuming tasting room for Peterson Winery. Fred and has son have been growing/making great wine for a while now. The service and atmosphere in the tasting room match the approach in the winery. Inexpensive wine very well made. I've put their $30 Cab and Syrah against big name... More

We just happened by Peterson last week for the first time. What a pleasant experience in a little western themed grouping of wineries (near Papapietro Perry and Kokomo). We tasted some very good zins and cabernets and bought several bottles. Some of their wines can only be found at the winery. Unique labels on unique wines.

The tasting room is a bit of a drive off the main road, but they were friendly and had a nice selection of wines to try. They also have bread and olive oils to sample.
