In the time of Covid-19, Sonoma County has allowed outdoor tastings at local wineries. We've been to a number of them and have experienced diligent efforts to sanitize tables, space out customers to ensure proper distancing and ensure all staff properly wear masks. When we went to Christopher Creek this past weekend, we found none of this. First, they do have good wines. But, they do not seem to be taking the needed precautions seriously. Upon arrival for our appointment, they did not have a table set up for us. They identified one that had been used as part of a celebration from an adjoining table and proceeded to clean it with a glass cleaner, not an alcohol or chlorine based cleanser. Several people were seated in the pool drinking wine from glasses. Our server had trouble keeping his mask covering both his mouth and nose. As we were leaving and waiting outside the tasting room for the wine we purchased, several men came out of the tasting room, none wearing masks. An obvious acquaintance walked up to them and they all hugged and shook hands and began talking about the upcoming Republican convention. None were wearing masks. Watching the scene at the tasting area they have set up by the pool and watching staff interact with guests, it seems they have more of a party atmosphere than an organization interested in premium wines. So, if you're looking for a party and ineffective or no masks in the time of Covid. This is your spot.

Had a very unfortunate stay here at their “estate house” and some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. We were actually harassed by people that worked at the winery and it was mind boggling the response. The place is not well cared for. Do be careful before you decide to stay here.

Great wine, amazing views, and perfect service. Try the “Ultimate” tasting. It’s a bunch of crazy good wines from their Sonoma and Italian vineyards that are mainly off the menu and from deep in their cellar. ❤️🤩

Christopher Creek is an odd duck of sorts. There is a small tasting room, a great barrel room for private groups and on really nice days...you can taste pool side! Yup, there is a pool with a huge deck and an amazing view of a small valley and vineyards. There is a full size estate house that can be rented out if you are in the area and dream of staying at a winery. The house sleeps 8 comfortably and if you got creative a few more would be fine. Enough about that though, you are here for the wines! They have some outstanding Pinot's and Zins which are my favorites here. If you are a white wine fan I recommend the Viognier and if you can get it (super rare) the Orange Viognier. The wines all have a smooth velvety texture, lucious fruit and just leave you wanting more. There is not a bad wine in the bunch. Another aspect of this place that makes it unique is the family that owns it. It is a group of young (by industry standards) guys, a couple of brothers, a brother in law and a best friend from HS. Its a true family affair which I love and support. My only criticism is I think the wines are a little pricey. I have never been disappointed here and I will continue to visit and send people here without hesitation

Great tasting with Liam. Delicious wines with the concept of actual futures (who knew). Great atmosphere tasting in the barrel room (ladies bring a coat or sweater). I did not taste a wine that I did not enjoy. The Anderson valley pinot was my favorite.
Very highly recommended

If you want great wine in a relaxed atmosphere -- this is the place! Yes it's small, but they have over 40 types of wine. And wines that range from $35 to $300/bottle. The tasting pours are generous and you're sure to get a couple of really good ones that aren't on the menu -- to suite your taste whatever that might be. But the best is just the vibe -- so friendly and accommodating -- was a really nice day so they set us up in the sun outside overlooking some of the vineyards and we were just sooooooooo relaxed. Highly recommended!

We wanted to visit a small winery in the region and we were very pleased. Many different kinds of wine can be tasted, all very good. Friendly welcome by Mitch.

If you are visiting the area stay away from Napa, maybe go to Sonoma but definitely head to Healdsburg and Russian River area. Find the small family run vineyards, get invited back into the barrel room and enjoy a wine tasting that will surpass any artificially created - pick 3 of these 6 wines for 10 dollar napa experience-and get asked instead if you would like to "revisit" any wine before you leave. More specifically, go to Christopher Creek, bring your dog, tell them you will take your tasting by the pool, and learn about the families journey into wine making and look over the hill at the vines whose grapes are in your glass.

We went here on the recommendation of Chris from Sbragia vineyards and we are so glad we did! We did our tasting outside with a beautiful view and Molly did a fantastic job explaining the wines and the history behind the vineyard. We tasted a few different pinot noirs right from the barrel and they were excellent. I would highly recommend visiting-ask for Molly!
