We really enjoyed our visit to AVV. Highly recommend going on the cave tour with barrel tasting. We'd done this at another winery and thought it was gimmicky, but at AVV we found it informative and fun. The tasting room is small and low-key, and...More

After stumbling across a few expensive, pretentious wine tasting rooms -- the group at Alexander Valley VIneyards was refreshingly generous with their time, their pours and their access & education! I repaid that by buying more than I was planning. We really enjoyed the history...More

We had an enjoyable experience at Alexander Valley. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. The tour of the cave and the complimentary barrel tasting were fun. Be sure to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at one of the outdoor tables.

Went there on barrel tasting weekend. They were very nice and had a good selection of wines to taste. They also had excellent focaccia bread. Enjoyable way to spend an hour.

We really enjoyed the guided tour through the caves of AVV. The guide was really helpful and friendly, with obvious knowledge of the winery and history of the label. Our only criticism stems from the post-tasting experience. The employees were busy catering to a group...More
