Open By Appointment Only. In the heart of the beautiful Russian River Valley, Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery offers a proud 33-year winemaking history and a unique sense of place. Perched atop a ridge along winding Westside Road, the winery offers a spectacular view of the sweeping valley below. Gary Farrell Winery benefits immeasurably from its long-term relationships with many of the Russian River Valley's most celebrated and sought-after vineyards including Rochioli, Allen, and Hallberg to name a few. Gary Farrell Winery helped put Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the world stage, and the hallmark Gary Farrell wine style remains one of balance, elegance, texture and sense of place. Today these acclaimed wines can be enjoyed on our intimate outdoor terrace and the view from our winery completes the picture.

Gary Farrell produces wonderful Pinots and Chards. Always special to open one of their bottles at home (even if I've already opened one earlier in the week.) But sitting with other vinophiles - seasoned or newbies, and chatting over three or four selection in a comfortable tent on the property is special. Our wine "guide" was well versed and able... The staff is great and although they are undergoing a massive remodel were very warm and made the wine tasting a great experience. Do not expect the tasting room view, however the forested view from the tasting tent villas was nice as well.

Gary Farrell's wine tasting and tour was a wonderful experience. The Sommelier was highly knowledgeable on wines. Enjoyed the elegant presentation and excellent service.

Of the 30 or so wineries we have tried in Sonoma, Gary Farrell has the strongest across the board line up of Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Their current release shows the exceptional, fruit driven range of the region. A must hit in the Russian River Valley. The only downside is that they only offer a limited number of reservations, so... More

We had a wonderful tasting experience at Gary Farrell. Even though the main tasting room was under construction we were hosted in these lovely tents. The wine selections were wonderful & our hostes was very knowledgeable and engaging. She made the experience that more enjoyable. Looking forward to see the changes when we return to the Russian River.

We had a fantastic wine tasting led by Lydia. Lydia is so knowledgeable and really made the experience fun and approachable for us. The "glamping" tents were so well done and kept us dry in the nasty rain. I would definitely recommend going to Gary Farrell and meeting with Lydia.

Gary Farrell lies outside my normal circuit of wineries in the Napa and Sonoma area. Having been referred here I made my tasting appointment (as there are no drop in tastings) and made the drive up through the Russian River Valley. A far cry from the unabashed tourism of Napa and even calmer and more serene than most Sonoma experiences.... More

Although Gary Farrell is under a renovation, they have substituted their beautiful tasting room with intimate and magical tasting tents with beautiful views of their property. You almost feel like you are on a wine tasting safari. The tasting is elegant and rustic at the same time, just perfect. The fur blankets and heaters ensures even the highest maintenance guest... I work in the wine industry and I had made a reservation for a tasting. They had not told me that the tasting room was under renovation. So we were escorted to a tent to taste the wines. My wife and I did not like it. We did not get to see the grounds. I was kind of Insensed when... More
