Lovely beach and calm weaves. However, I would always check the water quality in those hot days before letting the little dip their toes in it.

The Esplanade Hotel is right on the sea , near the jetty - great food. Lots of eating places on Jetty road (including a nice bakery ) - you will have no problem finding somewhere to eat .

Get a taxi or an uber. There's no way he would be wanting to walk there, let alone walk back.
