Walked in the harbor and marina twice this morning. It is very cool to see such an active fishing/crabbing area. Met some really interesting fishermen selling crabs right from their boat. Got a couple of pictures of seals swimming around the harbor. Weather was cold and windy, looking forward to going back if and when it gets nicer.

After lunch at the Fish Trap we wandered around the Harbor and it was a wonderful 'desert.' Between the ships and the blue water and the fishermen, what more could you wish for.

Free parking is always a plus along the coast, but especially for this "bird trap" at Princeton on the coast. This is not one of the more spectacular spots for gorgeous scenery, but it's a relaxing stop along the Highway 1 drive. Clean free bathrooms, good restaurants and friendly people. The gulls and other birds seem to like the stop... More

The area has many seafood and other places to eat. Easy access to beaches, quaint shops, and several good places to stay. It is neat to watch the working boats and the pleasure boats in the harbor. You can book fishing trips if you want or just relax on the beach.

Typical harbour with great views. A number of shops around and some good eating places. We ate at the Brew company across the road although I had heard that restaurant on the harbour has a good reputation

NIce beach, nice people, nice dogs that are supposed to be on leash but who seem to be happy scoffing at that law. Small parking area but easy access to beach.

Pillar Point Harbor contains an active commercial fishing marina in addition to numerous piers mooring pleasure crafts. As a result, there is always a lot activity and things to see. It is accessible by a seaside walking path that traverses Half Moon Bay, as well as by car. Adjacent to the marina and parking lot are several small restaurants and... More

We walked out along the harbour and watched the Pelicans and Seagulls chattering away in the distance. A seal was swimming around the bots hoping to find an easy treat. Nice little place. Worth callling in to see.

It's great to walk to the end of the pier and see real fisherman and sometimes the conveyor unloading fish. During crab season you can buy live crab right off the boat or visit one of the restaurants in the harbor and let somebody else do the work. The harbor area is a great place to walk off a good... We have been to Pillar Point several times and each time we come here, it seems to always be a great experience. There is so much to do here from taking a nice stroll on their paved walking road. You can mountain bike, or get on the beach and enjoy the ocean front views over looking the docked boat. The... More
