visited here with family of 11. Paved walkway around the Bay, plenty of seating and tables, some under shady trees. Sandy white beach. Great waves - but also dangerous rips. Still exciting to watch and hear the waves roar and crash and spray. Seagulls, starlings, pelicans and the odd seal provided entertainment. Vegetation was being regenerated in places, but did... We had sailed past and into the harbour the afternoon before so got a chance to walk out and view from the land on Labor Day Sunday. The swell seemed big from the ocean but only created small waves over the near reef where two kayakers were surfing in what looked like 2 foot waves. You can look out toward... More

This beach is breathtaking. There is easy access to the beach and a paved walking path up above. There's lots of lawn space for cookouts and gatherings.

This is a camping beach so many of the people there were staying at the campground next to parking lot. Even though there were a lot of people, we still found parking and could walk the beach. The sand drops off so dramatically, the waves are very powerful. This is not a beach for shells because of the waves.

Walk along the edge and watch the waves crash below... Sit on one of the many benches and take in the sunset. Locals walk with their kids and dogs....family and couple friendly. Clean bathrooms. I only wish I lived here to be able to take in this beauty daily.

This is a very nice beach offering a lot of beautiful views of the ocean and the shoreline. The water looks very nice in its blue and shiny color. The only negative thing is that the temperature, epecially the water temperarue it quite low which makes it challenging to go into the water.

Great for that quintessential stroll on the beach at sunset. Bring a jacket and all your senses. You will need both :-)

Beautiful ocean beach area that's great for walking. Gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean. I would recommend a stop here if you want to take in some ocean views.

I stay in Half Moon bay often when traveling for work and take advantage of the wonderful trail along the cliffs for running or walking. The beach is typically very clean and there are lots of great places to sit and contemplate life's biggest questions. It's very safe and there are always lots of people using the trail.
