I enjoyed a walk by the Pacific Ocean at Pomponio State Beach Park. There is a small fee for parking. I used my annual state park pass to visit. The beach is just south of Half Moon Bay.

It's a quiet beach alone the high way with small parking lot. They do have bay watch team on site but over all water is still cold. A great view with not too many tourists around Portal potty is really smelly but the sand is better.

Pomponio is one of the larger beach parks along Rte 1 between Santa Cruz and San Francisco. Sweeping vistas, intriguing cliffs and rocks. COLD water. Worth 30-60 minutes of meditation.

Easy to park here and beautiful surf. There are plenty of picnic tables (good for me since I can't be on sand). Really scenic and also lovely with a great tide pool too. Perfect for folks with kids.
