Great walk on the beach

Head north from the parking lot to get to the trail down to the beach. Parking is hourly rather than Half Moon Bay which is $10 for the day.

You can watch for whales, walk, or relax on the easy to access beach. There are even well-placed benches waiting for you! We were lucky enough to park and in minutes see three whales close to the shore turning, spouting tall plumes of water, and seemingly there to frolic in the afternoon sun!

Great horse riding beach, with easy in/out horse trailer parking. So great for a no-hassle beach ride. Great for dogs too.

This is a local beach-paid parking, like $2 for an hour. The trail is not well maintained and is moderately steep. The only bad this was a lot of horses on the beach-so horse poop everywhere. In addition, people must party there at night and unfortunately leave lots of trash for other to pick up-which we did. Too bad the... More

You can park in an easy lot, and walk either north or south from this beach. The walk allows some beach access and some bluff sections.

We spend a couple of hours walking on the edge of the cliffs dominating the beach. Even if it was a cloudy day it was amazing. We would have like to have more time to spend there. The green of the grass on top of the cliffs reminds the best landscape of Ireland or Wales and the only rumour is... More

My children went horseback riding on this beach. Lovely time spent with the family. It was a gorgeous day! Sunny, warm perfect.

We waited for low tide and then took the dogs for a walk. It is an awkward climb down the cliff but no worse than others we visited. Used by locals who take pride in picking up trash and keeping it pristine. Walked and walked! Breezy and cool but great experience.

It really is amazing to see the big waves coming and hitting the beach. It was windy and a nice swell was on.

This is an easy beach to get to from the highway, free parking, and an awesome spot to go for a nice long walk on the beach. Dog friendly and a clean beach...you will enjoy the beautiful sounds of the crashing waves.
