From a small self-paid parking area with one or two restrooms you walk down to a sandy clean beach and you can walk to the right or left for miles. I walked for 3 hours on sand and foamy surf, picking up sand dollars and huge broken abalone shells, also saw a dead seal, hundreds of sea birds and washed... More

Parking was readily available for a $10 daily fee. There are a few easy sloped entries to the beach and several rough climbs down. We enjoyed our time in Dunes Beach State Park. It was one of those glorious sunny warm summer days. The sky was blue; the ocean beautiful. So scenic. It was also a nice place to walk as well. There is a large parking lot here as well as restroom.
