The trail ride we took moved along this beach. Honestly, I felt like Charleton Heston in the first Planet of the Apes movie. Towering dunes fronted a quiet beach that stretches forever, seemingly. Great for privacy and sunbathing...plenty of room for all. However, no half-submerged Stature of Liberty.

Love that 30 min from the Bay Area, it feels like an entirely different world here. Had a great visit to this beach. It wasn't crowded and it was a warm, beautiful day. Remember, northern CA beaches are never super warm, but it was warm enough that you could do without a jacket if you wanted. Still, it would be... More

Good offshore winds with several people windsurfing. Nice beach with plenty of parking spaces. Wildflowers in bloom when we visited in April.

Huge waves breaking along the coast brought a few brave surfers out on a cloudy & rainy day. The beach and views are stunning.

Some enterprising folk had assembled all the driftwood into interesting art-like structures on the beach!

This is a beautiful beach. When I visited there was not a big crowd. We were able to enjoy all of the beach without having to deal with too many people.

Its on Highway 1 and offers great photo opportunities. Great for Panos. Not all parts of the beach has playable areas as some are full of large rocks so it may not be very suitable for playing.

Pescadero us a good place for a day trip. I have been there a handful of times for the day and it's aways enjoyable. It's pretty windy and might be cold to swim. The town of Pescadero is close by and has some good antique shops and places to buy produce.
