Unique wine tasting

Lovely owner poured us some great wine under a beautiful tree in her front yard. We had no appointment, but she was gracious and invited us to taste. I will go back!

Wanted a second place to visit after going to Korbel and found this vineyard. Drive up was beautiful in the mountains. Owner was great, told her family story and how the vineyard started, design of bottle with bee on it and wine was very good. Beautiful and peaceful vineyard.

The wine we tasted at Porter-Bass was incredible. We sat under a tree right on the edge of the vineyard and talked to one of the owners (who poured for us!). Meanwhile, in the background, her son (the winemaker) was on the tractor in the vines. It couldn't get more authentic than this. After we tasted here we went to... More

Really great wines & great place to visit. The vineyard & gardens are beautiful and the wine is great. Small, family-owned (second generation) vineyard & winemakers. Friendly, fun tasting. Sure they'd like you to buy, but they're not pushy about it. Very high quality but more medium price range. Happy to recommend.

This was recommended by our AirBNB host in Sebastopol. You need to phone ahead as it's a small family concern. We sat under the (walnut?) tree for the tasting. Simple treatment, and the Zinfandel was worth bringing a bottle home (not easy in these airline security days) - violet and lavender, and a grape that we do not get in... More

Nice place to stop by and have a wine tasting outside under a walnut tree. Pinot Noir was excellent!

We made the drive through the beautiful countryside and arrived at the secluded, picturesque, family-run Porter Bass Winery. We were greeted by the owner and got a personal tasting by him. They put a lot of hard work and love into their wines and are focused on providing quality products.

Came here for a tasting on Memorial day weekend. The owner is so nice! Firstly this is a very small winery so the tour didn't take any time at all. Then we sat under the trees and talked with him about his winery and wine making in general. It was very interesting. He poured us four wines all of which... More

We found this winery on the internet. They do wine tasting by appointment only so we made an appointment the day before. It is a wonderful little family owned winery. The owners are very pleasant people and are working hard to produce quality organic wines. For many reasons that were explained to me they not be labeled organic but they... More

On a recent trip to Guerneville we stopped by at the Porter-Bass Winery, in part due to the couple of great TA reviews. I must say I was not disappointed. As mentioned by others, its a bit out of the way. But that assures you that probably you are the only one at the Winery. Our 2 yr old had... More
