Yosemite National Park and Giant Sequoias Day Trip from San Francisco

1,782 reviews
Don’t let time constraints keep you from making the trip to Yosemite National Park from San Francisco. A day trip lets you visit the park’s major attractions such as Half Dome, Tuolumne Grove, and El Capitan—and still make it back to the city in time for dinner.

Definitely worth the detour if you are in the Yosemite Park area. Due to the fires there were some interesting wines to be tasted.

Thanks for your kind words. As much as the creation of Rim Fire Red was the result of a terrible natural disaster, we appreciate the many folks who have been huge supporters of RFR. There are only 10 cases remaining! Hope to see you again.

Such a wonderful find! Tried the Rim Fire Red .... interesting fact ... the Rim Fire started 5 years ago today. All the wines were good and interesting. Rim Fire Red was very obviously impacted by the smoke from the fire. LOVED IT!!

Ron and Cheryl are wonderful hosts and have a beautiful vineyard and outdoor tasting space. As we were leaving, I told my mom, “I love wineries that have wines that I expect to taste a certain way and they don’t.” That describes every wine we tasted at Yosemite Cellars. Every year of the Firefall blends offered totally different tastes. And the Rose and Tannat are wines I could drink all day (unfortunately).
