We had a meal at the Saloon during a recent California road trip. According to the signage it's California's oldest surviving saloon and the décor would suggest that's probably true. The Iron Door has a genuine saloon feel to it with simple, hearty and tasty...More

Great service - I got so many soda water refills! And the food is well above what you might consider bar food. Decent prices. Really cool old building with original everything. It’s like eating in a museum.

This restaurant is nothing to rave about; however, the walls are adorned with large old historical photos and the 100-year-old Saloon next door is well worth an inspection. Great photos and memorabilia are packed into this saloon. This place has a lot of character and...More

We have been to the Iron Door Saloon and Grill. Its a good local's place for a beer and some food. There is sometimes live music. We enjoyed lunch there when we visited in August 2017,

I was in Groveland for a 2 night stay and visited this place more times than I want to admit. Friendly bar keeps and some real good Margarita's. Unfortunately I was never in there during food service.

The Iron Door has been around since 1852, continuously operating! Great food, atmosphere. Try throwing a dollar bill and sticking it to the ceiling (its a local thing!)

Even if you are not eating, this is worth a peek. It is the oldest continuously running saloon (bar) in California. The ceiling is full of dollar bills. Food is good. Service is friendly. Looks like entertainment is a hit!

Called in for drinks and bite to eat and found the place to be full. Spoke to a lady about ordering some food who didn't seem to pleased and suggested an hours wait so we went for a walk along the high street. On returning...More
