Due to Covid and illegal overnight camping and other activities, the Baby Beach parking lot, which is on private property, has been barricaded. Parking on the residential street is extremely limited and is a longer walk to the shore. Baby beach is not a county park and has no facilities, showers or bathrooms .

Do not get this Baby Beach confused with the other Baby Beach at Lahaina. This beach is totally rocky and unspectacular. Go to the other Baby Beach at Lahaina! Do not be fooled by people posting the wrong reviews here of the sand, etc - this Baby Beach is actually rocky, not sandy! Go to Baby Beach at Lahaina for sandy beach. People are posting the WRONG Baby Beach for reviews here, and that's how we discovered this was a terrible beach after all. Go to the one in Lahaina! Otherwise, risk breaking your ankle on the rocks. See my photos for what this actual location really looks like.

A great beach when there is no wind. Can be windy on the east side of Maui! But a nice beach even with turtles basking in sun at times. And nice beach for kids if Waves are not too big to crash over the natural reef. Parking is limited. Beach access is just North of Baldwin Beach through a residential area.

Read some reviews for this beach and we always look for beaches that are less travelled. We were travelling with a 5 year old, so the waves had to be somewhat calm. It did not disappoint. We arrived before the rush so we got pretty great parking. A short walk to the beach, the reef kept a small wading area where the little one could play with close supervision. We took a walk and looked for shells. Dog friendly area and relatively quiet. Pristine sands and beautiful waves. It was the perfect first day of our vacation.

It was our little guy's first time to a beach, and we're glad we took him to Baby Beach! Parking may be a bit tough, but don't let that stop you from going. It is called Baby Beach because it is essentially a big swimming pool. The reef breaks all waves and it is uber delightful. See our experience here:

We rented villa at Opal Seas and just enjoyed the experience immensely. The views were great...the beach was clean, and both the water and the people were warm.

We first saw Baby Beach on our Helicopter ride of Maui. We were told by the pilot that is was a very popular family beach and in the am, lots if turtles on the beach. To find it wasn't easy but once we did it was great. Lots of little babies there as you can go into the ocean with no waves as there is a barrier stopping them. Also, you can walk farther down the beach to open waters. We did see one big turtle up on the beach. You can snorkel there too but this day the water was murky. There is a big undertow outside the barrier so be careful. It was a nice day at the beach there.

Baby Beach is a special place. It has a high reef which acts as a natural break cushioning large waves creating a natural enclosure that is perfect for family fun. It has a few rocks on the close end of which to be aware and can also have a good current when the wind is up. This natural, gentle wave pool is wonder!

My wife likes calm beaches and this was one of her favorites. Plenty of room on the beach and parking was good. The water is always luscious!
