This beach was a dream for me as I cannot really swim and I got to snorkel here without worry or fear. There were lots of people around late afternoon but is fairly quiet early on in the morning

Beautiful beach near Paia. The reef that sits about 20 yards from the shore stops the waves, creating a wonderful "wading pool" that's great for kids or a relaxing float/swim. Also... sea turtles!

The reef provides protection from the waves and makes the little swimming area like a baby pool. Perfect for kids or those who don't want to get knocked over! Even though it was terribly windy, you could still swim or wade in the protected area,...More

A great beach when there is no wind. Can be windy on the east side of Maui! But a nice beach even with turtles basking in sun at times. And nice beach for kids if Waves are not too big to crash over the natural...More

I love this location. It’s on the north shore near the town of Paia. The outer reef shelf keeps the waves down and has created a lagoon like area for swimming. Sometimes you will see turtles hanging in the area. One day I saw about...More

When the surf is up, go to Baby Beach. The reef takes the sting out of the waves. Very calm water and an enjoyable place to spend an afternoon. Just 9 miles down the road you have sea turtles every afternoon

I LOVED this beach. The water was much warmer than the beaches we visited on the north shore of the island, and it was also much calmer. The waves were hardly waves at all (more like water just lapping the beach). We stayed here for...More

We went because we had a young one and it was close by. You don't have big waves or an undercurrent .Manmade reef kept big waves away, but our 9 year old got bored quickly. Maybe go with a baby for a dip. The wind...More

Easy to reach, with a restroom and shower right by. Close to the main drag, but not so close that you won't be able to relax and enjoy the sounds of surf and sand. Ahhhh!
