Off the beaten path, this winery feels secluded! The tasting room is nice and the patio is quite large. We enjoyed a flight and took home some wine and a locally made candle. Nice experience!

If you want great wine and great music outdoors and being around fun loving people, at the sametime ,then you have to check try Naggiar Vineyards. They also have food or you can bring your own.

We went as a group to this winery on a Saturday to use a travel voucher. When we first saw the winery we were amazed at the beauty of the setting, and the winery itself seemed perfectly suited for romantic getaways. Walking up to the tasting room we even commented on how perfect it would be for a wedding. The tasting room itself was well decorated and inviting. Unfortunately "inviting" ended there. Midday on a Saturday the four of us were the only ones in the room, yet the gentleman working there didn't acknowledge us when we came in. We decided to walk around a bit and didn't think much of it. After a while he finally addressed us. The member of our group with the voucher greeted him and asked to receive the tastings and food that the voucher covered. The employee seemed irritated at first, then asked what we would like to eat. Before we answered he handed us a menu and explained that normally we'd be able to select any item from the menu, but today they were setting up for a concert and the kitchen was busy, so we could choose between two items. We remained friendly and decided to take both items, paying for one and accepting the other as part of the voucher.
The tasting was very brief. We went through three wine selections and then were informed that the remaining white wines on the list weren't available because there were no bottles opened. We asked if he could open a bottle and his response was a curt "talk to Mary, she's in charge". Rather than make a fuss, we decided to buy a bottle of wine and take our food outside to a table to enjoy it. We assumed the atmosphere would be better and there was relaxing music playing.
As we enjoyed our food (which was delicious) and our wine (which was also excellent) we were startled when the technicians began testing the sound system. They would frequently burst through the music with loud squelches. Since we were the only guests in the entire area we were only a few feet from the technicians and they made no effort to avoid the loud noises. I even caught one of them looking over at our table, apparently amused with himself.
We decided to leave and find another winery to visit, as our mood by this time would best be described as agitated. On our way out the employee who served us initially seemed too busy with other tasks to notice us again, so we simply left.
I understand that the concerts must make them more money than wine tasting, but I have a hard time believing they have much repeat business with the unfriendly reception we experienced.
We never did meet "Mary" but my question to her would be: since when are wineries unwilling to open bottles of listed wines for tasting? And wouldn't it have been prudent, rather than tell us our menu choices were limited to one of two items, to instead offer us both due to the inconvenience? After all, we came on a Saturday, fully expecting a "regular" service, not expecting to be put off because we were somehow inconveniencing them. If setting up for a concert is so taxing on the staff, why not close the tasting room to visitors on those days?
In summary: excellent wines, excellent food, terrible hospitality.

I previously posted a 5 Star review for this winery based on my enjoying their wines. I still like their wines but have terminated my club membership because they are not honest and up front in dealing with their club members, the very people that support them. Below is the email I sent them cancelling my membership.
"I am sending this email to explain the reason behind my cancellation even though it is quite clear you actually don’t care. We visited your winery as a result of a referral from someone at Costco and did a tasting. We enjoyed your wines very much and decided to join your club. Shortly afterwards we upgraded our membership to the 6 reds 4 times a year. For us though ,we don’t join winery wine clubs just because we like the wines. After all, for the average price of a bottle I buy from you I can purchase some equally good wines at Costco. For us it’s about having an outing, often with another couple that shares our interests in wine, where we go to the winery, do our tasting, pick up our shipment and often purchase additional bottles. We then have a picnic or possibly go to a nearby restaurant for lunch before heading home. Also often after doing a tasting I change some of the wines in the shipment being picked up.
When wineries were allowed to open again after being shut down because of the pandemic, other wineries all figured out how to do their tastings safely. For example, Boger winery has you sit at a picnic table and they provide a menu of wines available for tasting from which you can select 4. They then bring a small wooden tray to each person with 4 stemless glasses each with a generous pour so that the total amount of wine would be about equal to what was provided in a normal tasting. At Rutherford Ranch we have always made appointments for sit down tastings and continue to do so although now they are all outdoors. Other than that the tasting is as it always was. Soda Rock winery is particularly interesting because their building with a large tasting room burned to the ground 3 years ago. They then opened a tasting counter outside of an old barn that survived the fire and now with covid they are doing sit down tastings at picnic tables. As with Rutherford Ranch the tasting includes the same number of wines it has always included. At the Pacific Star winery that we happened to drive by and visited for the first time they had set up small tasting counters outside where they poured the various wines that were part of the tasting. You could then sit at a picnic table or walk around the grounds while tasting. Of course at all these wineries the server was wearing a mask and we always put our masks on when the server came to our table or when we approached the counter. These are just some examples but we recently spent a week in Napa in our 5th wheel and every winery we saw was advertising tastings. As always all the tastings were free to members and their guests.
When you reopened we were told you were trying to figure out how you would be handling tastings. In the meantime we tried to support you through what I know must be a difficult time for you. This year we purchased a total of 42 bottles of wine from you. It is now clear that you have decided you can not do the free tasting for members (by the way, your website still mentions this as a benefit of membership) safely; however you figured out you could sell a 3 glass flight of 2 ounce pours for $8 to members and do so safely. I suppose this makes financial sense to you because assuming I went there with 3 guests as you advertise in your club membership benefits you would make $32 instead of pouring about the same amount of wine for free. Clearly a money maker, but please don’t tell people that you are doing this in the name of being safe with covid. This clearly was a calculated business decision and apparently you knew you might loose some members (no one expressed any regrets about me terminating our membership) but would make more money anyway.
I am sure that like other businesses you have been financially hurt by Covid and also possibly by some smoke damage. If that is true and you had sent an email to your members being honest and up-front and letting us know that as a result you would be cancelling free tastings for a period of time, I would certainly have maintained my membership and continued to support you. At the end, it is not about the $8 per glass. It is about you being disingenuous about your reasons for doing away with the free tastings, about treating your member like fools by trying to convince them that you can not safely do a free tasting but you can safely sell them a flight. Not an honest way to do business."
While I did not expect a reply to my Email I waited several weeks before posting this review just in case they actually provided me a reasonable explanation for their less than honest behavior but no reply was forthcoming.

I was visiting my cousin in Lake of the Pines and she suggested we visit this vineyard, which is close to her house.
The drive was lovely passing rural farms and animals. We drove up to the winery's tasting room and parked.
When you enter the tasting room you see a variety of tasteful jewelry available for purchase.
They have a long bar for tasting and we tried a few wines and decided on a glass to drink on the screened-in patio. We ordered appetizers and they were very tasty--meat, cheese, olives, fruit, nuts. We noticed that two couples had brought in their own snacks and enjoyed them with their wine. We made a note to find out more about that option.

I spent $75 having my car detailed as friends were joining the wife and I for an evening of wine tasting and music. I was not aware of the several miles of dusty gravel road leading to this otherwise lovely spot in the low rollin foothills of the Sierra Nevada Range.
This small winery does a nice job with a tasting bar and substantial patio. The latter to sit on and enjoy the live music, ambience, wine and snacks. The dusty car was quickly forgotten.

What could be better then finding yourself at the end of the road in a beautiful setting listening to live music? A delicious picnic accompanied by a delightful new Rose of course! Mike and Dianne Naggiar continue to improve upon everything they do. How? By hiring the best people, from winemakers to bakers Naggiar is outstanding. Fabulous wines are paired with a satisfying food menu if you haven't packed your own picnic. It may feel hidden 7 miles off of 49, down Wolf Road and a slow roll to the parking lot, protecting those hard working vines, but once you discover the beautiful tasting room and choose an award winning wine any weekend will become a celebration complete with live music. In four years we've seen nothing but continuous improvement in everything from the wines they make to the venue. We look forward to the Tribute bands scheduled this summer and can't wait to celebrate the next birthday with friends, or a Sat. night with each other at Naggiar Vineyards. All I know is after trying the Strawberry Shortcake I've got to learn to make it that way myself, and I'll go back just to try that amazing looking Chocolate Cake with whip cream frosting. Don't let this one go undiscovered.

Absolutely the best winery experience I've ever had! Amazing wine. Great staff. Beautiful vineyard. We took the Eco-tour with the owner and learned so much more than we ever expected. I have even more respect for the wine. You don't need to go to Napa for an authentic wine experience. This is cheaper and by far a better experience. You won't be disappointed!
