When I was kid I spent hour upon hours on the railroad tracks and exploring in and around the depot @ it's original location . when I was about 9 or10 I found an old padlock. While visiting the railroad Museum last year and talking...More

Must admit, it has been a wee while, but my son was always up for a trip here when he was younger. He never got sick of riding the real miniature trains around the grounds. And there is a HUGE train set in the building...More

Seems to be a bit of a 'work in progress' so a bit lacking for adults. That being said, kids seem to love this place and riding the train. Easy to get to, great out of the way desination and diversion, but only a few...More

When the little narrow gauge train is running, little kids love riding around the track behind an "engineer" dressed like an old-time engineer. Some memorability and close to a nice walk around a pond with ducks--good place to let the kids rip or walk Fido.

This is going to be particularly exciting for small children. A local business has subsidized the attraction, so the miniature train ride (which is cheap enough as it is) will be free on weekends this year. It's a nice ride that lasts a while because...More

This was perfect for a short visit with our 5 year old, and at his request, we returned the next day. There was a small (very small) train to ride on -- the rails are only 7.5" apart, which he loved. He was also intrigued...More

Kids like the train ride which is only a buck. Not much else there however. The stow house is right there as well. So you can do two things in the area without moving your car.

It's out of the way and should be better advertised but I guess that serves to keep the crowds out of the way. This is a great place to take the kids to see something new.
