Goleta County Beach is great place to visit when in the Santa Barbara area, especially if you find yourself in Goleta. There is ample free parking, lots of picnic tables, a wonderful beach-side restaurant (with a fabulous oyster bar), a long pier (with lots of fishermen and women), and an extensive, natural beach for walking, tanning, relaxing, and wildlife viewing.... Unless you are going to fish or have a picnic by the ocean there is no logical reason to go here. There is a bar and restaurant at the park but everything else lacks a draw. My apologies to the locals that live here but theres nothing for the visitors to the area.

I loved this beach. I have been all up and down the coast. But never had I found the "perfect" beach. It's easy access from the parking lot i didn't have to walk a mile on the sand to get to the water. The waves are also calmer than usual making it perfect for small children or for those who... One of the busiest beaches in sb, great for bbq, kayaks & a great restaurant. Had a wharf if you want to go fishing. So many things to do. You can bring you dog but they need to be on leach

Goleta Beach is a jewel of a park! The parking is ample and free. There is grass with trees for shade, a sandy beach, a playground for the kids, bathrooms, B.B.Q's, volleyball courts, even horseshoes! It is right next to UCSB and very close to the airport. There is a pier you can walk on, or fish from too. It's... More

Nice beach with facilities for large parties and restaurant on the beach, large RV and overnight parking. Good mix of locals, some snowbirds camping, lots of young adults from the nearby University. Daytime was low key and the waves mellow, no lifeguards seen. Reported surfing nearby.

Sadly the view across the ocean shows, as it does in much of California, a set of oil rigs — and this is a clue as to what you will experience on this beach. Tar. Easy enough to get off the feet — a nightmare to shift from clothes... be warned.

This beach is very popular on weekends. It has group picnic areas (must be reserved in advance) picnic areas, jungle gyms for the kids, fishing from the pier, and you can walk the beach from here to UCSB.

Goleta Beach can't be beat! I've been coming here for half a century. The wharf is how it always has been. The only complaint is the bathrooms are wet and dirty.

My dog and I love this beach. Walks here are like spa treatments for us both. South of the beach park is one of the longest beach walks inSB county and it is.. Dog friendly! Never dissappoits . There is room for a long Sandy beach even when the tide is in.
