Stopped in while shopping in town. There was a friendly lady behind the counter and they were offering a sample of the day.

You get to do chocolate tasting. Who could ask for anything more? So yummy! They have a range of chocolates, bars, etc. We loved the dark chocolates. People were very friendly, nice environment. Highly recommend if you love chocolate.

It's probably the bleding of the country space where they sell it, and the "secret ingredients", but as a previous review puts it "they had us at tasting!". The whole family enjoyed their own kind of chocolates.
There's amusing jocose quotes about chocolates throughout the store.
The staff that's there was fantastic!
It's not cheap, but worth it, for a once-in-a-while indulgence. This made our short visit to Sonoma Plaza really memorable!

Stopped in to look for Yeti Grill. Was about to give up as the 'shops' were mostly abandoned or closed when we walked past an open store front door. A couple steps past my wife and I realized we smelled chocolate! We backed up and looked in to see a basic but nice display case (and confection room behind a display window) filled with various types of bite sized confections We decided to go in on just the smell. Glad we did! Young lady behind the counter was patient and knowledgebale and suggested a few items. We did a 4 chcolate sampler of 2 PB&J's, 1 chocolate coconut (think Mounds) and a port infused grenache for $8 total. All were good (I would skip the coconut in the future as it was just a really really good Mounds for $2) but the Peanut Butter & Jelly was amazing! I first tatsed the dark chocolate...then peanut butter...then jelly. I thought my taste buds were malfunctioning ( in a fantastic way ) but the wife told me she had the same sequence of tastes and loved it. They make many types of chocolates and truffles that I would like to try. They are connected to a coffee store next door. I only regret not getting more of a sampler.

Wine Country Chocolates is the best shop ever. It’s the first store I drive to when visiting Sonoma. They have the best non-dairy chocolates. If you have a lactose allergy, this is the place to go. They also have regular delicious chocolate too. Check it out, stores are located in Sonoma and Glen Elen CA.

We were lured into this store because of signs that said "Chocolate Tasting". There was a sample of a chocolate selection of the day (orange or apricot), and it seemed reluctantly, the older woman behind the counter pointed to 3 containers of chocolate discs with varying % of cacao. She recommended starting at the higher percentage and working my way down, then she went to help other customers. I got the feeling that many people come in and don't buy anything so she didn't want to exert more effort than necessary. We didn't buy anything but might have if the vibe was better. Why 5 stars? The chocolate was really good.

Some of the best chocolate we have ever had! Wish we had to keep it cold so we could have purchased more. They staff was very helpful and patient as we made our choices. We have had chocolate in Switzerland and liked this more!

Just happened across this place near Sonoma town square, as it was the only place open on New Year's Day! The owner was very friendly and knew her chocolate! We got to taste the different types of chocolate. I believe the 67% dark chocolate is what they use in the truffles. They have an incredible selection, including wine and champagne truffles. There are no preservatives, so they are made fresh. They cost $2 each which is not unexpected for this region, but the taste is out of this world. Best I've ever had! Needless to say, we got a box to go.

Their tasting rooms have small tastings to different dark chocolates to calibrate your likes with their chocolates. They may also have special samples of some of their locally made chocolates. All tasted fantastic.

Stopped by to look and did end up buying several pieces of chocolate. Various sorts available, a bit pricey but most good chocolate is.
