Locals Tasting Room is a window into what the wine country used to be - in a good way. Excellent wines. Great value. Zachary led us through the tasting in a very pleasant and knowledgeable manner. Nice guy. Locals Tasting Room proves you can find an excellent experience and wines without big tasting fees. It's a throw back to another time!

I purposely sought this place out and am glad I did.
This is a really need place to check out, which allows you to try from various smaller boutique wineries that you likely wouldn't have the chance to try otherwise. Seems locals mainly visit here, but also I'd recommend a visit here if you're strapped for time (which let's be honest, there's never enough time if you're on holiday)
In anycase, the staff know their stuff about the numerous wines (of which there are a lot!) with styles and prices ranging from entry level to premium. There's bound to be something at your price-point.
So yes, if visiting Sonoma, make sure to stop here if you're into smaller boutique, terroir driven wines.

Being from Wyoming this was our first trip to Wine Country. We were very excited to try a FREE wine tasting. The atmosphere was very warm and friendly. This tasting room represents loads of small wines. There was an amazing variety. We were thrilled at how reasonable the prices were for a bottle...our favorite was only $22!!! That's less than half the price of the other wineries that we visited.
Also, we were waited on by the owner....none of that pretentious wine talk....like hints of meyer lemon....much more down to earth....do not miss this hidden gem!

I contacted this tasting room to place an order on wine on sale. First, I chatted with Carolyn who was not too customer service oriented. She happens to be the owner of this tasting room from what I found. Then, I inquired on placing an order. She told me they do all their sales through email or by customers leaving their credit card and other details on vmail. This wasn't how I wanted to place my order for security and accuracy. So, I emailed Carolyn and I never heard back from her. Needless to say, I won't be placing my order. Maybe it's best this way. Others trying to contact this wine seller might have better luck than I had. I won't pursue this wine seller.

This is painful to hear when we are all doing our best while being closed since March, dealing with COVID and fire evacuations etc. I certainly apologize if the resulted in the poor customer service you reference in your review. Due to the fact we have had to lay off all of our employees we do ask that customers email us with their order details to insure accuracy and I am not always available to chat as I hae=ve been in the past much as I would like to be. I certainly hope you will reconsider your words and continue to support us during these trying times. If you would like to reach out to me personally I will send you one of my current favorite wines to make up for the inconvenience you experienced. carolynlewis@gmail.com

We came looking for a winery that is no longer there....Carolyn invited us in and it just went from there.
Patrick poured some great wines for us and then we also met Enzo Torano, winemaker, and fell in love with his wines. I had never EVER bought a Syrah....being a fan of cabs and blends. Neither would I normally spend more than 30-35 dollars. And there you have it, I just did!
Great service. Great wines. You will find your favorite guaranteed.
Thank you again guys!
Dasha and Curtis.

Something a bit different, Locals presents the excellent wines of eight small-scale local wineries and much more besides, such as some local foods and other wares. Lovely setting and the woman (whose name unfortunately escapes me) behind the bar was super-friendly and warm and knew her winemakers very well. Did I mention that tastings here are free? You'll not leave empty-handed though, so no need to feel bad about that...

We made a special trip to Locals Tasting Room after reading reviews by other visitors and we were not disappointed. The owners were in the shop, we had a lovely chat, learned lots about local wines, tasted a few and left feeling it was totally worth the trip. We would recommend this tasting room to anyone!

A friend and I traveled to Geyserville to check out a restaurant. After lunch, on the way back to the car, Adam suggested we check out Locals. We had visited several other vineyards that day, but neither of us had experienced a store front wine collective. It was a happy accident walking into Locals Tasting Room. We were immediately greeted by a friendly stuff full of questions to help them pour wines that were closer and closer to our preferred glass. An hour or so later, I had a case selected to ship home, was the newest member of the wine club and had a bottle or two for later in the weekend. What started as a random turn has resulted in a consumer relationship I hope to maintain for years. Great spot. Great folks. Incredible wines.

The Sonoma/Napa areas of California are ripe with wine tasting opportunities; so many that we were overwhelmed on our recent trip there. Many wineries offer tastings of their products, most with fees. At these tasting rooms you will be offered 4 or 5 wines. We dropped in at Locals Tasting Room in the middle of Geyserville and found the absolute best spot for wine tasting. Locals is owned by Carolyn Lewis, and she represents some 11 wineries with over 70 wines available. Tastings at Locals are FREE! We had a great visit, chatting with Sharon about her favorite wines, learning the "scoop" about this or that winery, and when we left some 2 hous later, we had tasted 23 wines! Yikes! We ended up buying a case which was conveniently shipped to our home. Great place with a casual local atmosphere.

I recently visited Locals, on a Sunday afternoon this May. It was a really great time, I think I spent close to 2 hours in there. There are were alot of great wines to taste, a huge variety in the whites and reds, and even dry rose. About 10 different wineries in one tasting room- each with different story behind it. Also, I was lucky enough to make it on a day where one of their featured winemakers was pouring his latest releases-- they do these types of informal events quite often. Heart's Desire was the featured winery-- bought some of the Sauv Blanc-- and John Heart - winemaker- signed the bottle. There were some nice snacks out to accompany this day's tasting and we got to chat it up with the winemaker.
Totally casual and fun, with lots of wines. It was hard to leave-(a group of us wine tasters, who had just met in Locals, were talking away and tasting). I can see visiting again soon-- the list is updated often and you can practically deck out your wine cellar (mine being a wooden kitchen cart in my basemen!) with a wine, for any dinner or any friend.

Also, good ending to the visit-- go next door to awesome Italian restaurant - Santi . Carolyn- owner of Locals- sent us there. It is soo good-- kind of fine dining with a rustic feel, and again lots of local wines.
