- moementsSmithers, Canada157 contributionsA fun mix of film & fine wineA fun visit with lovely grounds! We went for a special crab feast & wine tasting and the crab was awesome and the wine free flowing. The tasting rooms were very cool with lots of movie memorabilia to look at and family cookbooks. The pool and cabanas look great - it was chilly so not for us this visit. We love the directors cut pinot and the Sophia rose brut! They come in cans too!Visited March 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten March 27, 2023

Come with your swim trunks, bocci skills and desire to taste incredible wines. Stay for lunch or dinner. - Worlds_of_Wonder300 contributionsFun, but not a fave by any stretchFor me the strengths of this place are the scenery/grounds and the Coppola movie memorabilia. The wines were okay, but the biggest issue for me was the sense throughout my wine tasting that I was "on the clock" and they were ready for to move on to the next customer. The beautiful grounds deserve a stroll after the wine tasting. Movie memorabilia was great, but it is mixed in with so many products for sale that it's tough to enjoy some of it. This winery has a pool, restaurant, and so on so it may be worth considering for a long afternoon (?). I wouldn't go back for the wine tasting though, and definitely would not go if I was not in the area.Visited June 2023Written June 25, 2023
- DJLJShelby Township, Michigan33 contributionsGreat afternoon at Coppola WineryI love Coppola wines and our visit to this winery was a special treat! We thoroughly enjoyed everything, from the delicious tasting of multiple types of wine, to the gracious way we were treated, to the delicious lunch we had, to viewing the film memorabilia on site, all while being surrounded by gorgeous scenery! We felt like royalty here and I would recommend the tasting and lunch experience to anyone looking for a relaxing outing. Great prices on wine and shipping, too!Visited September 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 4, 2023

Certainly worth a stop. Lots of free ample parking. Everyone is welcome, with no fees. Super interesting museum of movie memorabilia on two floors. Elevator and ramps for those who prefer. Two tasting were offered. A standing tasting for $25.00 and $50.00 for the terraced, seated tasting. We also chose to eat at the restaurant, Rustic. Excellent food. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. Will certainly come back.

Very nice and beautiful Winery but the food is very mediocre, the service just OK, even if we really like the setting will not go back , very dry fish taco, no taste, chicken wings dry and no taste too… need to find another cook.

I was gifted this by my sister. We had visited before but didn’t have the cabine experience. We were treated like royalty. Service is excellent. The cabines are basic but have everything. My only suggestion would be that the beds are a little too close together.

We were told the hour tasting was a more upgraded tasting than the 1/2 hour tasting. It was anything but that. It just took longer every 15 to 20 minutes he would show up and pure a little wine and sometimes told a little about it some times not. For $40.00 per person it was a complete waste of time and money. I would never recommend this tasting to anyone.

You get to taste about 5 different wines. Very reasonable bottles for sale with low shipping costs. Also one tasting fee is waved with purchase.

The Disneyland of wine tasting! They didn’t change glasses, didn’t know much about wine, and refused a vegetarian food platter because it was ‘pre made’, despite the fact that the restaurant ant kitchen was 10 steps away!

Do you pay for general admission? If with kids and they do not do wine tasting for example?

No, there is no general admission. You pay at the bar for your tasting. My husband and older son went to the bar while my younger son (underage) and I walked around checking out the exhibits. We didn’t drink so we didn’t pay anything.

We have a toy poodle with a very happy and friendly disposition. He will sit on our laps and is very quiet and well behaved. We bring him for a family member to help with anxiety. We would like to bring him with us to your winery. However, I do not see any pet restrictions on your website. Do you allow dogs on your property?

Hi, looking at visiting during our honeymoon next year, is there accommodation onsite or nearby? Thanks Claire

We stayed in a hotel about 20 min away & had a rental car which was good as it allowed us to explore the area. There are many options as well for transportation, there is Uber or you can book wine tours where some places might offer options for trolley.

Four of us plan to spend a day at the pool with a cabine in late September. Can anyone recommend which area of the pool would be best for sun, access to the cabines, rest rooms? Are the lounges up by the cabines "too busy" or great because of proximity of the cabine? Any comments would be welcome. Thanks.

I'm not sure about the sun with those cabines by the lounges. I just went and I recommend 24,25,26,27. Do not get the ones on the opposite end of the cabines. The ones closest to the stage. Those have a ton of sun exposure. And probably furthest from cabine and bathrooms.

A reserva não é feita on line.

The winery website says there is a complimentary wine tasting at the main floor tasting bar, but other reviews on TripAdvisor state it is a paid tasting. Could you clarify which, if any, tastings are complimentary and if a reservation is required to do a tasting?

There are multiple levels of paid wine tasting. Perhaps there is a time of day they are letting you taste a wine , I don't know. We toured the winery and paid for a tasting. I suppose you could just call and ask?
