Really enjoyed our time here, its a great place to get zen and clear your head. I have a bad knee and some hikes can eat me up, but this was really smooth.

Long bike path, protected from cars, with views of snow-capped Sierra and dry river bed; ride as long as you like. mostly flat but with a few hills to keep the heart pumping

This is a very large park with picnic tables, walking trails, ponds with ducks and other birds. The Japanese Garden is within the park but costs an extra fee (well worth it). You will have a relaxing afternoon here.

Fun to see so many out enjoying a beautiful day. Plenty of room to run, picnic, sit in the shade. The playground is so cute with a nature inspired design. Bring a basket and a blanket or walking shoes, a nice place for whichever mood.

Love hiking here, the basin is a great work out and the rest of the park is a nice way to cool off. Shinzen Japanese Gardens is always lovely, located inside the park. Lots pretty peacocks and streams to relax by.

The Japanese Garden is fairly romantic but only open limited hours. There is is a dog park. If you both own dogs might be a good ice breaker. If she likes to hike or bike it has trails.
