Morning TripAdvisor Friends. Yes, Woodward Park is a great place to stop, hang out a bit, or plan a picnic, or have that special event fundraiser. Plus, there have been many changes since the 80's. They have updated, creating a modern but woodland looking amphitheater. Plus, the shelters are always in good areas of the park, and are in good... More

This is a great spot but a little hard to get good information on the facilities. The Park is managed by the City and you can drive in off Friant Road or Audubon and there is a posted $5 fee for parking. However if you arrive first thing in the morning usually you will not have to pay. Also it... More

Woodward park is a wonderful place. Many trails, picnic areas, beautiful lake and even a dog park. There is a river that flows through one area of the park. There is a $5 fee per car to get into the park. $3 for seniors. This is an active park with many runners and bikers.

I am lucky to use the park in the mornings before 10 am. Once more people enter, the park can become crowded. Trash and maintenance take over some popular spots within the park.

Great walking/running paths. Shakespeare in the park is awesome. Great concerts too. The Japanese garden is beautiful and relaxing.

Nice place to visit especially with young children. You have the ducks and a few little ponds where the kids can fish. Which is great when you want to get out doors and spend some time with the family. There are some areas with big tall tree to help provide shade on a sunny day. The park is great. It... More

The drought has made Woodward Park, somewhat a desert like park. It is a big beautiful park in the winter rainy season. They have Shakespere in the Park in the summer months, a duck pond and fishing areas for kids. Probably one of the best parks in Fresno.

There are lovely bike trails in the park and nearby. I liked the water features and the open spaces.

Went with my granddaughter. Enjoyable summer evening for Shakespear lovers. The setting was relaxing. OK performances by local talent. The park also has very good leasurely hiking/biking trails for those who can't get to the mountains for more strenious hiking or biking. Some good opportunities for the photography buff also.
