There is so much talk of the Glass Beach. It's a tiny beach with lots of little pieces of glass. Not exciting.

View is nice however I didn't see any glass sand. I was told by someone that lives in the area that it's awesome during different season so I guess October isn't good to check this place out. Pretty disappointing but then again view still good.

This was our favorite stop we made. The views are just gorgeous and cannot get enough pictures of them. When you do walk into the park it has an easy path and a hard path. If you take the easy path you will not see...More

The VERY STEEP stairs down to the beach are in DISREPAIR, have NO HANDRAIL, and are EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Shame on the city and state for promoting this place and putting the public in harm's way.

This used to be a wonderful place where the glass would gleam in the sunlight. After many years of people taking it away by the bagful, you have to search to search for it. At low tide, there are some areas (which will not be...More

As a 40-year resident of California's central valley, I have come to Ft. Bragg many times, including days when my children were young and we all sat on Glass Beach sorting through the sea glass and choosing colors we Iiked best. No longer. Glass Beach...More

Visiting Glass Beach was on my bucket list and I am so glad I went! The drive from San Francisco took several hours but it was worth it. Coming from Florida where there is very little sea glass, I felt like I died and went...More

I had been here 9 years ago when it was okay to take the glass you found, there was no real parking and it was not the popular site it is now. It is much nicer now and yes I saw people taking away small...More

It seems that over the years people have been taking home souvenirs from the glass beach and all that remains that we found on our visit was clear and cloudy glass and not much else. Perhaps we didn't explore long enough but the pictures advertised...More

While the view is spectacular, Glass Beach has very little glass as a result of people taking "souvenirs" over the years. Very disappointing! Still it is a nice walk and great for photo ops.

No. But there are plenty of other areas to be at. Go to Mackerriker State Park in Fort Bragg, CA. The first entrance is the camping area. The second entrance takes you down to picnic areas, boardwalk, ocean, tide pools... More

There is a large parking area near Glass Beach and for the beautiful walkway along the coast.
