About
Life and Ventures offers kayak tours, rock climbing and hiking tours with skilled guides. Activities take place on Baćina Lakes, Neretva River and Riviera Gradac & Drvenik, depending on the activity. With many tourists still unaware of other Dalmatian beauties beside Adriatic sea we designed our tours to make the best possible experience and we will keep it that way. Our groups are small and always accompanied by a skilled guide making the tour lot more interactive and interesting. Trips we offer are not only focused on activity but the whole particular experience.

Couldn’t recommend this more highly. Mario and Andrea took us on a wonderful tour of the lakes along with several stops for coffee and swims. Brilliant guides full of local information

Very well organized tour routine with hiking, top views. They provides home-made cherry wine and desert which is impressive. Nice and professional guiders, especially they are photographers helped taking nice and funny pictures for us. Very good choice and strongly recommend!

An absolutely superb morning out with a fantastic guide.
A bit off the typical tourist path but properly worth doing.
4 1/2 miles of kayaking through some serenely beautiful countryside via numerous interlocking lakes, Mario was a thoroughly knowledgable and friendly chap making this a very worthwhile way to spend one’s morning. He and Andrea even treated us to a refreshing beer and espresso half way round.
Had the opportunity of a pleasantly warm swim, whilst learning about the many world war 2 bunkers on the horizon.
A great and inexpensive way to spend a peaceful few hours if you’re bored of lazing around the heavenly coastline that makes this part of Croatia so spectacular.

My friends and I just did kayaking on Bacina Lakes.
We just rented kayaks (without a guide), Mario and Andrea were more than happy to make any accomodations. I have a small dog and he was also more than welcome to come, which for me is a huge plus!
The equippment was great and I can't speak more praises for Mario and Andrea. They gave us all the pointers and explained where to have a drink and where to hang a hammock (which they provided!) to enjoy the scenery.
If you want a get-away from busy life or you're just passing by the lakes on your way to the Dalmatian coast, do yourself a favor and do this kayaking tour! It's a refreshment for both body and soul. Lake water is so clean and refreshing.
Mario and Andrea were superb! We will definitely try out their other tours. Highly recommended!!!

It was my first time kayaking and the experience couldn't be better. The nature is beautiful and so relaxing, the guides Andrea and Mario are really friendly and they have told us everything there is to know about Baćina lakes. We have stopped for a coffee break and for a swim. It was truly beautiful, I strongly recommend this tour to everyone! It really is so much fun :)

My friends and I had the most amazing day kayaking on Baćina lakes. We loved everything from the kayaking itself to the nature and stories our guides had about this amazing place. We made everything even more fun with a little friendly race on one of the lakes. Our instagram accounts are also grateful for this beautiful experience 😄.

We went on a noon kayaking tour around Bacina lakes (rain in the morning stopped us from going earlier) and we really loved it! Andrea and Mario were amazing!
From the surprise juice at the beginning of the tour, great chill in the shade of pine trees to playing frisbee from the kayaks (so much fun!).
Besides the amazing adventure, Mario and Andrea were very helpful with the advices on where to eat and what else to do (ask them for the restaurant recommendations, we ate like kings!).
This is a must, you will not regret it!

First of all, don't be skeptical because of the only 5 star reviews, we were at first and decided to take a chance, it is well reasoned and earned! (also it's a pretty remote area so that might also be the reason for the low quantity of reviews in general for things in this area)
We contacted them (Mario & Andrea) over their FB page with some questions, they were very quick to answer us!
We met them the next morning at the meeting point (we stayed at Vila Sola which is like 5 min walk so it worked out amazing). From the get-go, they were very kind and welcoming.
The whole tour took roughly 3.5 hours with very well paced stops to rest, swim and eat along the way. During the sailing part, they stopped at several locations to explain the history of the area with other interesting tidbits like boating history of the area, the culture etc...
They also took some of our pictures for us with their professional camera (that is why 3 of our photos here has their watermark) which they emailed us after the trip (no extra charge).
The whole tour was lovely, the landscape is beautiful and it's a very serene experience!

To summarize this review, they were amazing! If you are in the area and are looking for something interesting, beautiful and fun to do... Look no further! :)

Spent some time in southern Dalmatia and wanted to do something outside from the beaches. Mario and Andrea’s kayak tour of Blacina lakes was perfect. They are accommodating to all levels of experience (in fact at some points I think Andrea paddled more than my friend!) and gave you great info about the area, the lakes and the people of the area. Overall it felt like being out with friends. And the scenery is just amazing and peaceful. Would go on another adventure with them both!
