We had escaped the North East cold for a visit with my daughter and her husband in CA and decided to do some hiking. The Darrington Trail turned out to be quite a nice choice. Unfortunately, it's an in-out trail, so we did not hike...More

This trail gives a nice view of the south fork. It's mostly used by bikers, but is good for hiking, as well. There is some shade along the way, but not a lot. It has a fair amount of up and down, but overall, is...More

Its the alternative trail to the Auburn Ravine area. It is technical and rocky, but the lakeside and hill top views are worth every pedal stroke.
