While on a hiking vacation in Big Bear, we added this short, easy 1.5 mile trail at the end of a day. Typically, since we like longer and more challenging trails, we might have skipped a walk like this but we were so glad we...More

My friend and I decided to go on a little walk before leaving Big Bear. We really enjoyed this little hike. It's only a mile and a half long, and an easy trail to follow with signs marking interesting spots. I liked that it was...More

Nice circular hike, with clear markers. Collected a trail map from the discovery centre, and the $5 parking permit . Map gave nice family friendly info. Here in August, so very hot walking. Lovely views over the lake.

Spent the weekend here and this was one of favorite hikes. Great views with some great elevation changes. We counted the bear paw markers and had great fun. Coming down much easier than going up!!

This is a great place for an easy hike....probably about 1 1/2 miles in a circular loop. Fun activity for families because there are interesting things posted on the trail which you read about on the pamphlet you grab at the trailhead. Be forewarned, there...More

Easy mile or so circuit hike with only a few hundred feet of elevation change. Perfect for small children. We've seen chipmunks and owl. Great views.
