We decided to do a little sight seeing while in Preveza Greece.. this monument is stunning and has such a story! There are quite a few stairs to the top but the view from up there is breathtaking.

Decided to see what this monument was all about. From the drive there up through the mountains, past Kamerina, through the mountain forests, past herds of goats, parking at the monastry to the breathtaking walk up the 400 plus steps the whole trip was amazing....More

Saw this for the first time when we were driving to Cassiope - it looked as though it was the other side of a deep valley...however, when we got to the monastery at the bottom (which was closed up when we got there - at...More

To walk where the women who jumped with their children to their deaths is incredible special. But so sad why they felt it so necessary, getting away from the Turks who would have either raped them, torture them, or kill them. Making this worse, is...More

This place really is a must-see, both for the history behind the monument, as well as the staggering view from the top. The stair climb is not for the faint hearted or the very unfit. But you can always stop and rest on the way....More

Stunning views, very nice monument and totally worth the effort climbing up the steps - it's not that bad when you get into a rhythm and pits stops for photos on the way up make it fairly easy. Round trip including photos at the top...More

short climb up the hill, by stairs, not recommendable for people with knees-trouble, they better wait in the monastery area down hill, from where the statues can be seen high up.

You can see this impressive monument from miles away and if you are in the area it's definitely worth a detour to walk up the trail and see it close up. There is a small car parking area and then it's 400 steps to reach...More

Not for the faint hearted....there are probably 300 odd steps up to the monument. Although if in a group one person doesn't want to do it there is a lovely little monastary for women at the bottom in the car park so you could visit...More

A 400 steps trail, leads you to the place where history of women of Zaloggo was written. Nice view, not very tiring. Some climbing bolted routes exist close to the steps in the middle of the way.
