This appears to be a full fledged archaeological operational headquarters with an attached smaller museum in the front public areas. There are things for all ages but the museum has a focus on children's exhibits and education. Some of the cases were empty when we...More

The San Diego Archaeological Center is a good location to teach young children the basic skills of Archaeology. It has very nice hands on teaching tools. But for adults also a lot to see and do. Both young and old will definitely enjoy the visit.

This is close to the Safari Park and the San Pascal Battlefield, and an excellent place to look at the artifacts of a very successful indigenous culture in the San Diego area. Excellent presentations of interactions too.
