Stone Brewing Co. was founded in 1996 by Steve Wagner and Greg Koch in North County San Diego, CA. It is the largest craft brewery in the southwestern United States and has been named "All-Time Top Brewery on Planet Earth" by BeerAdvocate magazine - TWICE! A recently announced $26.6M expansion plan (that includes a hotel among other lofty ventures) is underway, as are developments to become the first American craft brewery to open a brewhouse in Europe. The adjacent Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens plays host to countless wildly popular beer and dining events, and is the largest purchaser of local, organic produce in San Diego County, including a growing amount from their own Stone Farms! In addition to promoting ethical eating, the restaurant boasts a lush one-acre outdoor garden as well as a line-up of 32 rotating taps and 100+ bottled craft beer selections for guests to enjoy.

Stone Beer products are my favorite beer and I love everything they make. However the tour is given from one spot and you do not get to actually walk through the brewery. Then you get 4 samples and get to keep the glass. All the brewery tours I have done you normally get 4 4oz samples and a pint glass... More

We took the 6PM tour a week ago, it was hot in the brewery so the tour was just 30 minutes, it was pretty basic - so if you have been on another brewery tour you wont learn much about brewing. But it was interesting to hear the history of Stone brewing, the guide was pleasant, you could tell he... More

It's heaven on earth - chill-axing in a zen-like garden setting while drinking some of the finest craft beer in the world and listening to some blues/jazz live music. The brewery tour is decent, but the beers, food, and setting are outstanding.

My friend took me to this brewery and it was awesome!!!!! For only $3 you got a tour of the brewery. The tour guide was the best, lovely long blonde hair, with a wicked sense of humour. He made us laugh a lot, which I believe is a good way to engage with your audience. After the tour, he gave... More

I've never seen so much beer in my entire life! I would not consider myself an expert but I do know my way around craft beer. No matter what your taste is there was something there for everyone. My favorite was unicorn milk, which try as I might I could not get once I returned to Chicago. Since Stone Brewing... More

We are fortunate to be locals! We love having dinner in the beer garden. It's landscaped in such a way that you don't even know you are in town! Trees, greenery, flowers, grass and lots of water! The moving water adds such a lovely feel and sound to it. What a place! Make sure to stroll around outside whether you... More

Stone Brewery libations are becoming a national treasure. The restaurant in Escondido is an extraordinary venue with an interesting menu. The grounds are a wonderful garden to be enjoyed by everyone including children. A journey to the brewery is a local treasure with something for everyone. It is very popular with locals as well as a treat for tourists.

We went here for the tour and also to have some food. The tour was fun. This is a big micro brewery the 3 bucks for the tour gives you a small souvenir glass and at least 4 fill ups. If you love beer you need to do this. Tour takes about 45 minutes. The restaurant has excellent food and... More

Tours of the brewery are very good, and they have some of the best craft beers in San Diego and the US. The menu is eclectic, and finding something that I really like is becoming challenging.

Start by admiring the massive parking facility needed to accommodate this spectacular brew pub restaurant. The architecture using natural stone everywhere, complimented by massive open doors to the gardens made an impressive panorama. Bartender hustle was A++. If you can't find a few great brews here you don't know beer. Fun and loud but all part of the great environment.
