The grassy park area includes a tot lot and the Powerhouse Community Center but the beach below it (South Beach reach of the Del Mar City Beach) ought to be included in any and all visits here. As if that could be overlooked. Not likely....More

Stopped here on suggestion of a local resident. Nice place to catch the sunset, take a stroll or play in the water. Del Mar is a nice area in general.

Been here many times and love that they have the benches, with backs on them to sit and look at the view. Nice grassy area, play area, access to the beach, showers, drinking fountains and a huge bathroom/changing room.

If you just want to watch the waves roll in, and don't want the sand between your toes, (or in your shoes, or in your shorts), this is the place to be. Overlooking the beach, great view, plenty of space. Delightful!

What a great grassy area overlooking the beach. The grass incline is at a perfect angle to offer great ocean views and of course sunset experiences.
