We love this beach. 18th Street through 20th street are great places. Any street is great but that is where there tend to be people and good surfing and lifeguard stands. It’s usually crowded in the summer. The water is very clean and this year...More

Great beaches for walking or families. Lots of room and the water is very warm compared to Northern California.

Not sure how long this beach is but it makes for a pretty good hike. Nice firm sand, fairly level. Great people watching - this is a very popular beach.

Love this beach. It’s one of our favorite beaches to visit. Not overcrowded on the weekdays when we went. We also use the public parking off 15th street. Only $1-$2 per hour depending on which row you park. Short walk to the beach.

Sun, sand, surf and a beautiful setting. Del Mar City Beach has the distinction of being the first place mentioned in the Beach Boys' immortal "Surfin' USA" and it's as much a surf Mecca as ever. Great restaurants are right on the beach, casual fare...More

This was my first trip to Del Mar, and with my comparison to Pacific and Mission Beach - Del Mar is the perfect mix. It's got that family/not too crowded/no one is going to run you over kind of feel! There were lots of surf...More
