In principle, the idea of having multiple bottles of wine on tap is brilliant. In practice, this only works if (a) the wine is good, (b), the place is inviting and, (c) there are palatable snacks to go with the wine. Unfortunately, (a) – (c) did not materialize and, as such, this is a place where alcoholics get a buzz, at best. Only plus: Riedel wine glasses. Still, not going back...…

This is a great spot to try tastings of wines from around the globe. Innovative concept allows you to use a prepaid card to sample tastings from wines scattered all over the globe. Definitely will be coming back (and wish there was one closer to my home).

And that is the service. I don't leave an average or bad review lightly. And here is is- I have been to this bar many times. I love the atmosphere and the different people who come in and I love to try different wines. I came in once and there was a lovely elderly couple and the lady's sister behind the bar, they gave the best service and were incredibly sweet. This does NOT happen every time I go. In fact they have only been there once. Which is a shame. Because the service without them there sucks. Badly. I went in wanting to get an appetizer plate and wine and he told me they had literally nothing on the menu. Which I thought was odd, it was a Friday, they should have expected to be busy. And then another girl was at the counter and she said she wanted something to eat and he started giving her the desert options off the menu. The menu he just told me they didn't have anything for. Then at one point the wine type I liked was out. As was a lot of other wines and he told me they were out of that bottle. Okay. But at this point he just wasn't putting any bottles back in. Which defeats the purpose of having a wine tasting bar if you just eliminate options that are usually there. The blatant observation that this guy just doesn't care came across very well. Unless he "dig(s) your style" which is what this thirty year old decided to say to one of the only customers he actually paid attention to. I'm decently sure he might own part of the bar. Which is a shame, because he doesn't seem to care about it or the customers or the experience at all. And that actually makes a difference to me. A place can be great. But bad service can ruin it. That was the worst it has been. From now on I look for the elderly people working. Because they are actually nice. …

We happened to read about Vino in our Market Watch. Love having the options and fun involved with the Vino card. Great nibbles and a great wine selection!

I have been to Vini Wine Bar a few times and have enjoyed the atmosphere and selection of wines. Whether it was a meeting with friends to discuss life or a casual business meeting to work out a few things, Vini was a comfortable relaxing place to meet.
