This contemporary museum is a must-see when visiting Davis. The outside is architecturally stunning and reminiscent of the Getty Museum. The inside has galleries that accommodate a few different exhibitions at once, and there is a beautiful cohesive flow throughout.. The paintings are displayed thoughtfully...More

This new gallery favours its local artists- Thiebaud, Naumen, Marcus as notables. Thiebaud is a West Coast Andy Warhol, and a past prof. at UC Davis Art Dept. Naumen a grad. student in the sixties. Nice ambitious architecture, enthusiastic though hapless student 'docents'. Very limited...More

It was our first trip to the Shrem Museum and we were not disappointed. Surprisingly, the parking was free on the weekend (as long as there is not an event at the Mondavi Center, then $9) as well as free admittance. Lots of young people...More

We enjoyed visiting this exhibit today. As with most museums some exhibits were confusing especially the videos. But it is a small, free museum with friendly students ready to answer questions and engage you in conversation. Parking is $9.00 but close to the entrance considering...More

This small, modern museum on the edge of campus is quite delightful. It features a white steel and curved glass design that provides a welcoming venue for small exhibits. With plenty of free parking next door on the weekends, it’s a great way to spend...More
