Another pretty California beach! The cliffs and rock formations with their crashing waves are very peaceful. There is a small "cave" and a "creek" that comes out from between the cliffs.

We were camping at the Big Basin Redwood State Park and decided to do a beach day one day. Drove up with our packed lunches and our dogs. Had an amazing time with the perfect weather and views! It requires climbing down steep slopes and rocks and so this place is not recommended with fancy footwear or disability. Plenty of parking off the highway, from which you cannot see the beach. Many restaurants, liquor store and even a wine tasting place opposite to the parking lot. We tasted the wines at the Bonny Doon Vineywards tasting room and they were nice!

Our walk was fun, with the low tide giving us a chance to explore the adjacent tide pools. The rocks were an intriguingly patterned by the wind and waves.

I went for the sea glass - found only small pieces but was happy with that! Other glass searchers shared some of their cast-offs with me so that was very much appreciated!! The dog loved the space to run, play in the surf and dig. Beautiful spot to just sit and relax and listen to the waves & enjoy the sun. Easy to access if you do not have restrictions as there is a bit of a climb down a few rocks. Park across from the Roadhouse restaurant.
