Great for families with small children

We visited Baby Beach recently with our 5 year old. She had a blast. There is a shady park adjacent to the beach which was nice. Just a heads up that there are no snack bars or restaurants close by, so bring your own snacks.

Love it here!

Once of our favorite spots. Our kids love digging in the sand and splashing around without us having to worry about waves or currents.

My kids are all adults now, but I so enjoy watching little kids romping, laughing, and enjoying Baby Beach in Dana Point Harbor

It is what it is

Aptly named, Baby Beach is for the family. No waves, close to facilities, and ready for your family to enjoy. Best for kids under ten.

There are no waves at this beach but sometimes it can be a bit polluted. I recommend going to the beach at the end of the road by the ocean institute. Down the stairs....

Appropriate name, best for families with small kids.

Overall a very good beach, but if the weather is reasonably nice, it will be crowded, regardless of the day of the week. Loaded with families with many small children, but perfect for them; very protected beach, no waves, nice bathrooms, and free parking. You can also rent stand up paddle boards and small sailboats there.

Great for the family, especially with little ones
May 2020
Many young children are afraid of the water. But this is the perfect place to help the little ones overcome their fears. There are next to no waves and the water is approximately 3 feet deep for a considerable distance before it suddenly drops off. The beach area is not large in the parking lot to fill up quickly. However, if you bide your time, you will soon find a parking spot. All in all, a great spot if you have young children. Many people also do kayaking here.

The name says it all - very calm and safe

Parents can enjoy a walk around the many attractions at the docks (fishing pier, The Pilgrim ship museum, Ocean Institute), and leave the kids at this very calm beach located behind two separate breakwaters.

Great morning at the beach

This beach is great for preschoolers, toddlers as there are no waves and the sand is silky smooth. There is also a picnic area with lawn and shower facilities. And free parking. We brought our 3 year old mid-week and had a fine time.

Cute Beach for Kids
Nov 2019
Recommend this spot for toddlers and those uninterested in beach combing. Would definitely bring my grandson here and not worry about the surf.
