Awesome day seeing humpbacks around our boat, even going under it! Also lots of dolphins which are so cool to watch from the underwater viewing window. Crew was so friendly & helpful, I will definitely do this again with Captain Dave’s!

The excursion was a highlight of the visit of friends from Belgium and Holland. We saw whales, dolphins and the beautiful coastline of southern Orange County.

The trip we went on was a 2 1/2 hour trip; in the past I have been on competitor 2 hour trips and the extra 1/2 hour really matters in terms of how far out you can go. We where there on the first week...More

Loved this trip. I was seasick, but it was worth it! Not crowded, saw dolphins, juvenile grey whale, and mother and calf. Viewing pods so great.

The entire experience was very fun and interesting. The friendly crew interacted with the passengers. We enjoyed how they educated us about the different sea mammals. We saw 2 humpback whales, and our boat remained in that location for quite some time so we could...More

Hi. There is not a particular time of day when you’re more likely to see animals. We see whales and dolphins at sunrise, mid-day, and sunset.
