I absolutely love Monarch Beach Golf, especially the spectacular views on hole 3 & 4. Everything at Monarch rocks!! The course conditions, the food, the staff, the view, etc. If I'm playing a public course in OC, it's Monarch Beach in Dana Point every time. Period.

We had an amazing experience. As a company bringing in a large number of player from all levels of experience we were nervous and unprepared. Right away we were greeted by friendly and very knowledgeable staff that help organize and equip our players with the proper gear for a spectacular event. Since our event we have received such positive feedback... More

If you're looking for an exceptional golf course that's both challenging but also incorporates the laid back relaxing atmosphere Southern California provides Monarch Beach Golf links is the perfect choice. I've golfed here a handful of times and from the moment you pull into the lot you are greeted with exemplary service from the valet service and pro shop staff... More

Played Monarch with a few golf buddies over the weekend and we had a fantastic time. The views were spectacular, the greens were fast and in great shape and the staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. Can't wait to play it again!

Monarch Beach Golf Links is an expensive course to play, and one would expect the course to well kept. But it is not. The first 4 holes are very nice, with nice ocean views, good greens and fairways. However, from hole #6 onward, the conditions of the fairways deteriorates rather quickly, with lots of bare areas, and some muddy areas.... More

Connected to the St Regis Hotel Monarch Beach Golf Links is an excellent course to play. Good spacing between teetimes allows for fast play without waiting for the group ahead. They keep you on track for a 4 hours round or less for early teetimes which is fantastic. Did I mention the spectacular ocean views. This course is a real... More

Don't waste your time or money on what should be a wonderful course but is in horrible shape. If you like divots, swamps and bogs, desert dry rocky patches, and a course that is not easy to navigate then this is the course for you.The GPS is like having Big Brother tracking your every move and advertising, and warning, and... Enjoy a fun relaxing Course by the Ocean. Breezes, views, maybe a cigar and a great day. Stay at the Hotel or near by. Go to Stellas Serious Italian or Salt Creek Grille in the Monarch Bay Plaza to unwind. Both have good Happy Hours. Enjoy ! 1980Ironman
