Visited for a barefoot wedding on the brach. The bride came towards the gazebo with a path lined with shells.

Nice snack bar and restrooms. Camping ground at this location. Beaches are very rocky so no skim-boarding. There were a lot of surfers.

Lovely beach with harbor views. Nice walking trails and lots of picnic tables and grills. Clean bathrooms. Small shop with rentals and food was not open on a weekday in early September. It was rather empty when we went so this makes sense, although it was a great beach day. If you don't want to pay to park, go up... More

Have been coming since Jr. High when we used to surf "Killer Dana" and Doheny. So famous of a beach that the Beach Boys included it in their songs. Then "with progress" Dana Harbor came and neutered Doheny. Now it is a wonderful calm family beach within the Cal. State Beach Park System. Come enjoy. Long walks on the beach,... More

The beach is ok, but there was quite a bit of seaweed and sea flies. Salt creek beach is better. It does have bikes, some concessions by the beach, etc.

I am perfectly aware that seaweed is natural and belongs in the ocean, but I just don't want to swim with it when there are cleaner options. Plus, we saw lots of trash. The kids didn't want to stay more than a few minutes. I got my feet wet and that was enough. On the north side, at the surfing... More

Gross beach. The water is nasty. Lots of trash and seaweed floating in the water. Couldn't wait to leave. I do not recommend wasting your time going to this beach.
