We were greeted by a table of croissants so vast it was hard to count all of options. I opted for the ham and cheese and it was the best i have ever had. The fruits and vegetables were incredible. I especially enjoyed the yellow plums. We also purchased clothes with a high energy woman. I highly recommend a visit

Happened to visit this Farmers Market in Dana Point on a recent Saturday. It was located in the same plaza area where one of our favorite hispanic markets is. Right off the Pacific Coast Highway makes it very convenient. Took us a few rounds around the parking area before we finally snagged a parking space, but it was worth it.

There was a fine selection of vendors. Many folks selling crafts. Not enough selling produce. Still, we did find one vendor who was selling avocados at a good price. Also purchased food from a couple of other vendors as well.

If I lived in Dana Point, this Farmers Market would be a Saturday stop for us.

This place really gets crowded fast and the parking fills up quickly. But, it is well worth the effort to get here and do some shopping. The vendors have a wide selection of goods that include everything from clothing, décor, edibles, and some foods that are nearly ready to eat. If there were stands making crepes or preparing hot foods, that would have been really great!

We found a lady who makes small batches of her own chocolates (coconut oil base) that were excellent. Another man makes great side dishes of maybe 10 to 12 distinctly different varieties. There was so much to see and do. Lots of vendors represented.

Farmers Market

The Dana Point farmers market is held every Saturday from 8:00 am until about 1:00 pm.
It is a small but vibrant farmer's market. Citrus is big here one can buy several different types of oranges all year round, and there is a great selection of tangerines, limes, and lemons.
Fresh baked breads, cakes, and pies are available, the different types of breads is phenomenal.
Vegetables of all types are sold by two or more vendors so there is enough competition to keep the prices reasonable. There is a vendor that sells several different types of mushrooms, which are fresh and a real find. The flavors and textures are awesome, I don't think you can consider yourself an amateur gourmet cook until you've experimented with some of these fungi. There are ethnic foods and one Saturday a month there are several 'craft' vendors there. One of my favorites is the handmade African crafts.
If you are visiting Dana Point or a resident that just hasn't taken the time to visit definitely add the farmers market to your Saturday schedule. It is held every Saturday in the Henesseys plaza just north of Golden Lantern.

Fun and Healthy outdoor shopping experience for all.

Each Saturday Food and Fruit vendors gather on the Plaza for a great opportunity to shop for healthy fruits, vegetables and home made goodies. I like to purchase my fruits here (samples offered). There are some I have not yet tasted. I purchased ripe plums, Almonds ( multiple choice offered) and some baked goods. I tried a lemon- blueberry loaf (gluten free) but fount it too crumbly ( maybe I will crumble it on yoghurt). My true love is the Julien Apple Pies ( save the trip) best pie ever! . There is a booth where I purchased home made cat toys as a gift, clothing booths, hand crafted items, sheets, tee's, artistic Photographs, art and much more. The First Saturday offers a craft fair.
Hours are 9-1 except 1st Sat. Extended. Outdoor fun for all, and Restaraunts are there if you want to eat.
