Quite the experience to watch whale sharks up close. But it is too crowded and many of the visitors (chinese, korean) are too loud. No need too book ahead of time, just show up and deal with different prices for foreigners and locals. 500/300 peso just to watch from the banka.

The main attraction, one of the main reasons why you visit Cebu, these majestic beasts are definitely worth the hype. Just be mindful that the place is really popular.

We arrived at 6am to be out on one of the first boats. Parking is almost impossible if you arrive later in the morning. after a brief run down of the rules they take you out to see the whalesharks. Its guarenteed to see them.
