The library's super-intensive Covid protocol deserves a rating of "5" all by itself! Upon entering the library, a staff person greets you and directs you to the temperature-reading device (free-standing machine) and, when cleared, you can then frequent the library. As we were only visiting and had no need to us to use book stacks or other resources, our visit centered around browsing the book sale choices.

This library has a limited number of used books which the purchaser pays for in the honor system cash-box. The larger book resale (Second Hand Prose) location around the side of the building was closed but it is supposed to be open 3 days a week (apparently not the day we were visiting). But, during the era of Covid, it is hard to say if the closure will be longer.

This is a very nice community facility that is clean and well staffed with friendly and helpful people. Although we didn't use it, the wifi must be good, as there were several people working away on their devices. There is plenty of comfortable seating in which to enjoy the many periodicals or large coffee table books. The bathrooms are kept very clean and there are no unsavory characters hanging around, so kids can wander in safety. This is a great place just on the edge of the downtown area and near the police station to get away from the traffic and crowds. Parking is on the nearby streets.

We really just wanted to use the library bathroom, but were taken by the excellent assortment of books for sale in the lobby. As well, they have a little bookstore at the back of the library with worthwhile books for sale at very reasonable prices. Bravo!

The areas of the library are well design to keep everyone happy with what they are doing, I use to take my kids here and read them laying down in the floor of a wooden house. You can do almost everything that doesn't involve jumping or yelling ! Pristine installations.

It's convenient, the people are very helpful, they have all the books, dvds, and newspapers. They have the best reading rooms. And, best of all, no homeless using the library as a place to live!

Located on Orange Avenue, the grounds are lovely for relaxing with a friend or a book. Inside is bright and spacious. Staff very gracious. Movies in the Winn Room.complete with complimentary lemon aid, ice tea, and popcorn the first Monday afternoon of the month. Enjoyed The Greatest Showman here in August. It was perfect timing since I had just attended Hugh Jackman show in San Diego at the arena a few weeks earlier. Very friendly folks. Great treat for all ages including seniors.

Libraries are a good measure of a town and its people. This one makes Coronado look great. The building itself is stunning and laid out nicely. Lots of nooks and crannies for reading/studying. Staff were pleasant enough if somewhat indifferent. If I lived on Coronado Island I'd be there all the time.

I love libraries and this library is wonderful. There is a little shop outside, in the back, "Secondhand Prose". Great spot to purchase a book, then donate it back after you've read it.
