My husband and I visited McP's every day we were staying in Coronado. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the food was great. They offer good prices and a good variety on their menu. The outside dining space is right on Orange Ave and the San Diego trolley picks up right outside their front door.
Our bartender, Erin, very nice with a great personality and was open to offering suggestions for our visit. Thanks again McP's for the drinks, grub and fun. We would definitely be regulars if we lived in the area. I don't even drink and I would hang out at that establishment.

Great place right in the heart of Coronado! Good is very good with servings large enough to share. Loved the outdoor seat

We have been coming here for years, we love the atmosphere of this Navy Seal bar. There is a great outdoor patio where they used to have music on Sundays, but not at the moment. Do not miss the gravy fries, and the chicken philly with mushrooms looked great. The corned beef is very lean and the clam chowder is the best. The patio is right on the corner of the main street in Coronado (Orange Ave), so there is lots of people watching to do. The prices are reasonable for this area too.

This was lunch out for me during pandemic times so the large patio was appealing. Brian gave a good recommendation for the Reuben sandwich and it came also with a huge amount of fries so this could have easily been shared as the sandwich was generous. I just had to have a pint of Harp as well. I like that this place is named for the former Navy Seal who founded it back in 1982.

Stopped in here for a drink after dinner and pleasantly surprised . The service was awesome and the drinks flowing. We had just gotten married this week and the waitress asked about our song and she played it for us. They know how to play the music beyond that that you enjoy it and not too loud. Really loves this place

Food was overall good. Service was just ok, nothing special. I had the lettuce wraps - good but was expecting the chicken to be hot & it is served cold. My husband had the corned beef, but definitely no pickling was done to the beef.

Best part of lunch was the soup & beer. I’ve been coming here for 6+ years but today the food had no taste. Dry fries (very small pieces) warm sandwich was cold. Change to menu from last time no thrilling and disappointing. Unfortunately this is my last visit buy good Irish coffees.

We participated in the San Diego hop on, hop off tour and one of the stops was on Coronado Island, at McP's, just down the street from the Del Coronado hotel. The shuttle stop was directly in front of McP's, so easy access. We walked the beach, toured the hotel, walked the main drag, Orange Ave and found ourselves back at McP's for the next shuttle. Having a coupon from the tour company did not hurt, but we enjoyed a couple of appies on the outdoor patio, a couple beverages and some sunshine. Food was okay, beverages were cold, and the service was very good! Can't match the Coronado hotel for beach front ambience, but it was an enjoyable time. Would go back if I was to return to SD.

We sat outside and all of our food we ordered was delicious! My husband had the Monte Cristo, my son had a cheeseburger and my daughter and I had chicken strips. They had the game on and live music was about to start. I'd definitely go back there
