This is a small park with a few children's playground things in the corner. It is sided by a very busy Orange Avenue so it is noisy.

Check out the program for the park in advance and get there early with your friends for a picnic and entertainment. It is a top notch place to be at those times.

Hundreds of people sat around the bandstand and watched the cover band the night we were there. There is a whole program of free summer concerts.

You need to read about the history of the park to get the best idea about what you are walking around in.

We love going to music in the park. It's great weather, bring beach chairs and a picnic and let the kids play. Always fun making memories at this park. Plenty of shade trees, great people and fun atmosphere. It's a Sunday must

This special place occupies eight acres of green open space, graced with a gazebo, some play equipment, restrooms, and plenty of space for recreation. It runs down the center of Orange Avenue, lining the street with huge, beautiful trees. Coronado is not that large and...More

I grew up going to Sacred Heart Catholic School directly across the street, so this park always brings back the best memories. My favorite thing is taking my son now and having him enjoy not only the games, but the concerts in the park all...More

Large park, large playground, parking all around. Public restrooms that are clean. The park offers great shade from some very large trees. The Coronado library is across the street and there are a number of eateries a block away on Orange Ave. Highly recommend you...More

Walked past this park during my visit to Coronado Island. Small park with lots of open space—nice spot for a picnic. I wouldn’t say this is a “must see,” but it’s right on Orange Avenue which is on the same strip as all of the...More

Music in the Park Coronado (2 Replies)
Next question, on Sunday, June 28th we are planning to go to the music in the park at Spreckels park in Coronado. Music starts at 6pm, and the website states to not to attemp to reserve space before 3pm. However, there is a YouTube video link on another website that is several years old the shows a person walking around at noontime and there are already blankets and chairs that people have left in the park to save their spots. We will be in Coronado earlier in the day (10-11am), would it...More

I have never been to these particular concerts but most people I know don't listen to timing suggestions but just do as they please in these situations. If you are passing by early I'd just take a look to see if others have blankets or chairs out. I'd probably not leave anything if there's nothing else there or if I would be upset to lose it if someone decides to steal it. I have been to other outdoor free local concerts and I don't ever leave things out way ahead of time. I just get there...More
