Try to get to Coronado for some extended time most summers. Look forward to and enjoy the Sunday Concerts that are hosted by the City of Coronado. Great music and entertainment for 1.5 hours every Sunday starting around 6:00 PM with a different band every week from early June through mid September. Bring your own lawn or beach chairs, food... What a special treat to bring your lawn chairs, a bottle of wine, snacks and enjoy some pretty good music and great people watching.

My sister and I celebrated our birthday on Father's Day by attending the Music in the Park event in the early evening. The band was led by the local high school director, who played guitar and sang with other musicians. The music was lively, family friendly with music from the 60s, through today. Families brought picnics and some of us... More

Coronado's annual flower show was at the park during my visit... Lots of booths and exhibits and a book sale by the library.

Beautiful community park, takes one entire city block. Lots of shade trees, well maintained, clean restrooms, giant gazebo. Peaceful and old town feel. Until Sunday afternoon/evening then it gets crazy hopping during the summer. 17 events, usually Sundays at 6pm (some earlier) through Sept 11. Every week a different band(s) performs live. Get there early and watch your kids. Parking... More

This is a nice little park right of Orange in the middle of town. A very nice green space, large trees and vintage gazebo occupy this pretty little area. However I do not understand how a park does not allow leashed dogs and provide pet bags for cleanup. The reason we like Coronado so much is how pet friendly it... More

Passing by this park on the way to and from the Hotel del Coronado in that throw-back to a 1950's main street which is Orange Avenue on Coronado "island," I always envision a uniformed high school band marching in any second to the melody of "76 Trombones" from the Music Man. It's the huge, prominent, vintage looking Gazebo in the... More

We arrived at the park when they were having a massive outdoor fair for books, art , etc. The ambience was amazing ( better than Beverly Hills and more like Santa Barbara). The park was beautiful and large and great for families and couples as well. It is situated in the middle of a nice suburban neighborhood.

Great park to take a break from walking the town of Coronado. Places to sit but be aware of the dogs who are not supposed to go there but owners apparently cannot or refuse to read the signs.
