It was a stunning day and beautiful place to visit. I was disappointed with our guide. She seemed ill prepared, her stories were not concise, and much of her knowledge of history was surface level. Her political views were shared as she spoke. Also, the military has played a huge role in the history of Coronado and she shared hardly... More

I so enjoyed this tour with Gerry. We started in the beautiful Glorietta Bay Hotel where she gave us a fascinating introduction to the history of Coronado. We then went for a lovely walk around the outside of the Coronado Hotel and along Beach Avenue where we learned so much. Gerry has so much energy and made the history so... More

This tour meets at the Glorietta Bay Inn. The actual walk is short as you spend the first 45 min or so at the Inn getting a general overview of the history of the area and the inn itself. Nancy knows all about the area and she is so kind. This tour is economical and we'll worth planning around.

The tour guide is a 40 year resident of Coronado and offered a lot if inside info and perspective. It was a beautiful morning for a walk along the beach and thru town. Time and money well spent:)

I went on this walking tour in October 2016, and I also went on it in June 2007. It was the same tour guide both times, and I think that the tour is extremely informational and fun. The tour actually does not involve that much walking. There is a talk in the music room of the Glorietta Bay Inn (which... More

We loved the walking tour and our guide/owner was highly knowledgeable. She delivered the information in a very fun and casual format. The route we took was a nice balance of the inside of buildings and outside along the way. We have been on many walking tours and this rates among the best!

My husband and I are big fans of historic walking tours and always seek them out when we vacation. After reading reviews of this one, I knew we wanted to do it. What I didn't know was that the history of Coronado Island and San Diego were so fascinating! My assumed conception of the area's history wasn't anything like the... More

I signed my family up for this tour because I thought it would be fun to orient ourselves to the island before spending time at the beach. I think my family (husband and 2 teens) was skeptical, but by the end they were raving about it. It was just the perfect length (about 1.5 hours) and involved light walking and... More

The best 90 minutes you will spend in Coronado....and what a bang for the buck value too. Our guide gave us so much information and answered all of our questions ....it was like a great crash course on a hidden Americana town....so much history and so much we did not know about in the development of Coronado. For a long... More
