Parking can be challenging but it's worth it to experience the golden glittering sand of this beautiful beach. Water is clear and warm with a gentle slope (you'll have to get way out before the drop off...). Be prepared for a long walk to the water by packing efficiently and wearing flip flops to protect your feet from the hot... More

From the cliffs of the San Diego peninsula to the Navy ships coming out of the cove, this beach has some unique scenery. We were able to find free parking just across the street. The beach is very busy so you have to search for an open spot. The waves are pretty mild, so good for smaller kids. It was... More

This beach is one of my favorites because of it's proximity to the Hotel Del Coronado. It is a ways down the highway but a beautiful beach to see. You can also note the training ship for the Navy Seals and if lucky, get to see the men and women training by running on the beach! Nice eye candy!

We were in San Diego for a few days to see our son graduate boot camp (USMC). We were told by our eye doctor to check out this beach. It was beautiful. We had never been to the West coast. We are from Indiana and our beach vacations are on the Atlantic or Gulf beaches. (mostly Florida). I was very,... More

Beautiful and clean, only about 10 min drive from downtown. Great walk along the beach and birds, kids watch. Oh, and I never seen sparkling sand before! Beautiful really enjoyed it

This is the cleanest beach I've been too. Easy to get to. The beach is always a great place to relax. Be care of stingrays... Otherwise perfect day at the beach, my happy place

My wife and I awoke and arrived just before sunrise at low tide. The seashells were EVERYWHERE, sand dollars and clams in particular. We weren't alone, but it certainly wasn't crowded by any stretch of the imagination. The sunrise beyond the hotel was fantastic and the shells innumerable. This is a MUST DO if you come to San Diego and... More

The beach is beautiful. The place has a good infrastructure such as public restrooms. I recommend staying near the Coronado Hotel.

Went here to dip out toes in the water. The sand is beautiful, lots of places to set up and hang out. The water is gorgeous, Coronado is a really special kind of place. Nice and clean and a great place to spend the day!

We were staying at a hotel in San Diego, and decided to check out this beach. Best idea! Parking is difficult to find. Yet, once you get to the beach, it is so spacious, even though, there's so many people there. The sand is so fine, like flour! Our kid had much fun playing on the beach and building sand... More
