There aren't a lot of beach front RV campgrounds so Silver Strand fills that need beautifully. It tends to get very crowded, however, and getting in and out of the campground could be tricky. We were there on the weekend of May 19. Check in...More

Silver Strand Beach is very close to the bike path and is not very crowded. We found lots of nice shells and had a beautiful walk.

While out on a long walk on the bay-side, we happened upon this little stretch (1/2 mile) of beach on the bike trail. It is part of a bigger beach park but the other 2 1/2 miles of beach are on the ocean side. That...More

Beautiful beach, miles of golden sand, plenty of parking and good toilet and shower facilities. Right by highway but no noise from road

This place is beautiful. You can see the Navy helicopters flying over, the mountains, and beautiful scenery for pictures. Definitely something to check out.
