I bring my son here when we need to change it up a little. It's big enough for my 2-3 year old to run around and burn some energy on the rides. As an adult I can recognize that it needs some TLC/updating but the...More

Being from Concord not only did my kids come here but now my grandkiuds. Pixie land has been here well over 30 years. They've added a couple of new rides but its just perfect for the very young kids. The train and merry go round...More

This is great for little kids, 6 and under. Cute little rides, a train, typical junky food. There is a little lake outside of the park (the train passes it) and you can buy duck food at Pixieland and wander over anytime. Nice for a...More

Loved to go to Pixieland when grandchildren were younger. You can picnic in the park outside. It is never super crowded, and lines are not too long. The only line exception is the line for food which, by the way, is not too bad. They...More

I took my 3 year old grandson here and he loved it. All the rides he wanted to go on, except for the dragon rollercoaster, he said that looked scary, but Grandma really wanted to go on it. We rode the train twice which he...More

This place is great for small children. It's like a mini theme park with mini rides for the little munchkins. Great way to spend the afternoon. Good for birthday parties.

Took my grand daughter to a birthday party, Nice park, ducks to feed and a cool train that travels all around the park. Very pricey food, drinks and snacks. Tickets are pretty pricy too. I'd say bring a lunch and snacks and spend money on...More

It is close to home and good for kids 2-10. (although older kids/adults like the roller coaster) It is a bit expensive when buying tickes for more than 1 child, although you can buy all day passes. Good place for child birthday parties.

SuzieQ has a good answer. Kids are so different. My kids enjoyed it most during pre-school and Kindergarten years and stopped asking to go around 2nd grade. It is pretty tame. Nicer atmosphere than any rides at fairs or a... More

Shamrock Lodgettes (3 Replies)
Nice nostalgic piece in Big O today by Doug Bates. He mentioned several of the places on the coast that are no longer there. Pixieland (he should have included Pixie Kitchen), Nye Beach Natatorium, Bandon cheese curds. Then says Shamrock Lodgettes in Yachats is next to close. But he also mentions some of the old time places still there. As someone who grew up on coast, fun read for me.

Yep, the Shamrock Lodgettes will be torn down and another condominium complex will be built there. This will be the THIRD condo complex built in Yachats recently. They are well on their way to ruining the town, IMO. Guess it is not too far from Portland anymore :-(
