My wife wanted to go river rafting for her birthday. I had been on the South Fork of the American River years ago with my daughter. It is fun but not very exciting if one is more of the adventurous type. I had booked the Middle Fork and it was the perfect balance of excitement and relaxation. We would pass... More

We did the whole South Fork of the American River with the very capable guide Jay. Our raft was filled with three kids and three adults. The river featured many exhilarating rapids. Jay added lots of extra thrills with Zen Rafting, African Style, Splatting, Boofing, 360s and backwards rafting. Not once did we feel "at risk". All of the guides... More

I was extremely scared going into this excursion. I was with a group of 6 (4 have rafted before). Anxiety creeped in the minute I heard the river. I have a fear of water when I can't see the bottom. Luckily, the majority of the ride was over comforting shallow enough water. Eli was our guide and he was great.... More

American Whitewater Expedition Rocks!!! Our guide was "Brian" and I hope this to be the best review he ever receives so far! I just cant say enough about him. We took all our nieces, nephews and daughters on this class 3, 15 mile trip down the American River. All our fitness levels varied greatly and my husband and I (55years... More

Our GS Troop went on the 2 day South Fork/Middle Fork rafting trip. There were 13 people (4 adults & 9-15 year old girls). The trips were so much fun. Our guides Michelle, Christian, JC & Eli kept us safe while explaining how to run the rapids and how teamwork was important. South Fork was a great prep on the... More

Fantastic way to spend a family weekend and decompress. We did the South Fork. Our instructor was Eli from New Zealand was super pleasant, but most of all he really knew what he was doing. Our daughters 7 and 9 both had a blast. Totally recommend these guys!

Did the half day tour the last week of May and it was great!! Our guide Gustavo was really super - very safety-conscious and very patient with those of us who are no longer twenty years old and in great shape :) We left the tour wishing we had time to do the full day trip.

I can't speak highly enough about my experience with White Water Expeditions. We took a day trip down American river with lunch included half way down. The lunch was fantastic and a great setting for it. The scenery on the trip was amazing and mind blowing. We had Gordy as our guide and I can't speak highly enough, his chat... More

After much deliberation with family members we eventually committed to the booking of the White water rafting in late August of this year for a day trip down the American River. The apprehension amongst us was easily identified by the superb support team who made us feel far more confident once we got on our way. With clear instructions on... More

Our family was looking for a long weekend activity this summer that would meet the needs of age ranges 9 to 80. We found American Whitewater Expeditions. We booked the 2 day south fork trip with an overnight stay at camp. We had 8 adults, 1 teen, and 1 kid. Campsite-Tents were set up along with the camp chairs that... More
