We decided to get out of the house on a warm day, and the movie we wanted to see (The Avengers) had already "left" the Raven Film Center (another nice venue and our regular moviehouse), so we drove north to the Clover Theater in Cloverdale. The vibe definitely retains the small town feeling, and adds to the movie experience. Even more intimate (and perhaps more dated) than the Raven, the Clover is a nice place to catch a movie in an uncrowded environment. Like a number of surviving older movie theaters, the Clover is "subdivided" into 4 theaters (the seating capacity in Theater #4 is 46, and there was plenty of available seating). TIP: If you can, go on $5 Tuesdays, where both the tickets and the beer are $5 each MATINEE (pre-5pm): Adults - $7.50, Seniors (62 and up) & Children (11 and under) - $5.50 REGULAR (after 5pm): Adults $9.50, Seniors (62 and up) & Child (11 and under) - $7.00 TIP #2: If you're still thirsty after the show, the Cloverdale Ale Company (formerly Ruth McGowan's Brew Pub) is right next door -- just sayin'...
